I use to be a pharmaceutical sales rep and was often turned off by my clients (doctors) inability to treat the underlying symptom of their patients. They were often too busy and in a hurry to get the next patient in to secure hitting their patient quota for the day. Because of my negative experience with doctors I often times found myself thinking that doctors were all the same. Thank you Dr. Armstrong for restoring my faith in the medical community. Your zest and passion to ensure that your patients are taken care of is second to none. Erika Rembert

Because of this, I began scheduling for the first appointment of the day, which was illuminating. The first patient of the day still might have a 45 min wait or more as the first patient because she does not arrive at the office in time for her first appointment! People at the end of the day have no chance. The waiting room is a very sad affair, especially when populated by people who are obviously in pain and are facing a hopeless and unpredictable wait. On more than one occasion, Dr. Armstrong has had her staff call to cancel an appointment that I have had for months with less than 24 hours notice because she decided to start celebrating a holiday early. The office suffers from a lack of investment and is generally dingy. For the first year that I saw her, the Velcro did not function properly on the blood pressure cuff and the patient had to hold it together. There are so many better rheumatologists around who respect their patients.

I have many doctors in this practice and previously I have had real problems with the support staff. Some have turned around and improved their processed. I have experienced this process improvement at this location on Barfield! I love the fact I don't have pay for parking and it is an easy access to the front entrance. I happy with their improvements!

Laureate Medical Group Decades of Care, One Constant:…read moreExcellence Since 1991, I've had the privilege of being a patient at Laureate Medical Group, and over the years, through specialties and seasons of life, one thing has never changed--compassionate, intelligent, deeply human care. It all began with Dr. Scott Shulman, whose quiet wisdom and grounded guidance carried me through so much until his well-earned retirement. Along the way, I had the good fortune to work with Dr. Gavin Brown in neurology and Dr. Scott Leibowitz in sleep medicine--both remarkable physicians who brought clarity, insight, and calm when it mattered most. When Dr. Shulman stepped away, Dr. John Marshall became my provider--and what a gift. Thoughtful, present, and deeply kind. Truly incredible. And though I've only seen Dr. Christina Offutt once, I trust she will carry that same spirit forward. Dr. Jason Silverston in endocrinology has been another cornerstone of my care--sharp, grounded, and consistently compassionate. His nurse practitioner, along with the entire support team, has been phenomenal. From front office scheduling to clinical support, Laureate isn't just a practice--it's a working model of what patient-centered healthcare can look like. And I would be remiss not to recognize the broader system that has supported this level of care: Northside Hospital. For years, their coordination, professionalism, and commitment to quality outcomes have amplified and extended the work done inside the exam rooms. From labs to imaging to follow-ups--they've been part of this journey too. This isn't just great healthcare. It's relational care. And yes, it might even have a little Medical magic in the mix--because somehow, even in a complex world, it all still feels personal. "Compassionate care" isn't a slogan. It's a lived truth. Grateful doesn't begin to cover it. #LaureateMedicalGroup #NorthsideHospital #DecadesOfCare #Endocrinology #Neurology #SleepMedicine #PrimaryCareExcellence #HealthcareWithHeart #MedicalLeadership #GratitudeInHealthcare

Pitiful Care & Lies - What Did I Do to Deserve This?…read more I just have to say--the care I received at your office was absolutely pitiful. And let's be real, it had everything to do with discrimination. Whether it was my ankle monitor, my insurance status, or something else--y'all made a conscious decision to treat me like I was less than. Let's talk about Mr. Deep for a second. I asked him point-blank: "Do you think this has anything to do with a Baker's cyst? I've had them 3-4 times before, but it never spread into my calf." He looked me in the face and said, "No." Guess what? It was a Baker's cyst. So, either he didn't know what he was talking about, or he just didn't care. Meanwhile, I was in excruciating pain and just needed something--whether it was the meloxicam (which wasn't available until Monday morning) or ANYTHING to get some relief. Instead, I had to go to another doctor, who actually helped me by prescribing prednisone, which finally gave me some relief. And let's talk about the lies. Y'all told me Dr. Potts doesn't do knee replacements. If that's true, fix his online info because that's false advertising. You told me you called in my meloxicam, but guess what? You waited THREE DAYS to do it. Why? Now, you're trying to get rid of me after I've been seeing Dr. Potts for 2.5 years? What did I do to deserve this? I've had conversations with him about growing up around Jimmy Andrews, about vacationing and duck hunting with them. And now y'all want to treat me like I don't matter? And another thing--Mr. Deep had the nerve to pull up my X-rays and tell me my knee isn't quite "bone on bone," so I shouldn't be in this much pain. Excuse me?? He straight-up said their patients either just deal with the pain or get surgery. What kind of nonsense is that? Let me be very clear: I wasn't looking for pain meds. I don't even take them. I was in agony and could barely walk for a week. I saw y'all once, then my girlfriend insisted I get help, and THIS is what I got? At the very least, y'all could have had my meloxicam ready the same day when I spoke to the lady on Friday. But you couldn't even do that. This whole experience was shameful. Moye Colquitt
