Our well pump stopped working. Another company came out to look, tested some wires and said "bad pump". They then quoted me $4800-$5200 for a new pump, wires, piping and control box.
Curious, I called the company on my well cap, JT Eckerson, wondering if they were still in business due to the fact our house was built in 1968.
I spoke to a nice lady around 10:00 am, told her my concerns and she said someone would give me a call. I gave her our address and description of pump specifications.
Around 4:00 PM, 10 minutes from home, a gentleman from the company called and said he was in front of our house.
Upon arrival, with his truck backed up to the well, water was gushing out of the exposed pipe.
Shocked, I asked what it was, he said " a bad wire". He had pulled up the whole line, pump and all, found some areas of bad wire, fixed the wiring, added a section of pipe to make the pump lower and some other add-ons.
In summary, it was a $500 repair vs. a $4800-$5200 replacement.
This company saved us about $4300, can you imagine?
I have no regret in recommending this company. read more
