However, the experience of talking with the owner here and watching him make some of this unique candle art - it definitely felt more like a local experience. The candles that had the mountain scenes on them were really cool, and we found a unique one that made a perfect souvenir to take home. Lots of different colorations, and I appreciate the artistic/creative element of it all. I also liked that after you burn the candle, you can continue to enjoy the exterior design by popping in your own candle. I thought that prices were very affordable considering we were in Breckenridge. A nice hidden gem.

The owner and the lady she was training were both incredibly nice!! We were the first customers of the day and it was the training person first day so we got to chat with them both. First you get to select the vessel which she has tons of options! Then you get to pick your scent. You can simply pick one like use or make a scent of your own! Then you learn how to do it, clean you vessel, pick out your dye and make a candle. The process was easy, fun and simple. Our candles turned out amazing and we have already burned them once we got home from vacation. You also get a drink while you are there which was a nice touch. We did do a little extra shopping. I am excited to try my wax melts. I must also say I admire this owner. This is not something I have seen before and is a fun experience for for date night, girls night out, friends date or what ever you want to make it. Not only that but she was offered the shop on Christmas said yes with out knowing what she was going to do! She has been open since Feb of 2024 and she is killing it. Staff was friendly, though prices here were a bit higher than some of the other stores in this area, though I suspect there's more hand/homemade things here than in other outlets in the vicinity.

Everything arrived on time as well. I had her create the bridal bouquets, head wreaths, boutinerres, corsages and even an arrangement to add to my dogs collar because she was part of the wedding. She understood what I was going for and made some great seasonal suggestions, quoted the prices for them, etc. She was great about calling me back and communicating with me in general and I felt like we were on the same page etc. My girlfriends picked it up the day of my wedding, and the flowers were wrapped in a simple plastic ring- sort of looked like scotch tape around the bundle of stems- and they were not preserved in any water (is that normal for a bridal bouquet??) and became wilted by the time I walked down the aisle a couple hours later. I felt like what I had requested was not what was delivered. Although she did order the flowers I requested and had them ready for pick up, they were not presented in the way we had discussed. I went back to see if we could get it fixed up and was very friendly and open about it, but that attitude wasn't matched. Margaret's customer service could use some work in this area. Ultimately we worked some magic with first-aid tape and the piece of ribbon she did give us upon our second visit and all was well. Some things just aren't worth an argument- especially on a day you want to be joyful FYI- she doesn't seem to keep many cut flowers on hand, so you may want to call ahead of time to order some or see what is available if you do decide try out her business. Otherwise I've heard great things about both the City Market and Safeway floral departments in that area.
