We had a team-building event here recently, and it was one of the most enjoyable things we have done together. Deepti made it so easy for us to jump right in and get creative. She was super encouraging and had ways of helping those of us who don't get the chance to paint very often create something we could be proud of. Even the very-beginners did art we would be happy to show to off others. Some of us enjoyed the process so much we didn't want to leave and stayed as long as we could. We had such an amazing experience! I brought a group of 12 women for a team art class, and everything was so organized from beginning to end. She was incredibly helpful, patient, detailed, and flexible with such a large group. What I loved most was how she was able to collaborate with all 12 of us and still make the experience feel personal. Everyone felt included, supported, and able to be creative in their own way. You can tell a lot of thought and care goes into what she does. I came to ArtCircle with no prior painting experience 1.5 years ago and have been coming to the weekly adult evening classes. Deepti has been an amazing teacher in helping me learn how to paint with oils. The class is freeform in that each student is painting their own thing, and Deepti comes around and spends 1:1 time with each of us to give us guidance, feedback, and help us get through any "painter's block" by helping us brainstorm and unlock our creativity. The class usually has 5-8 students, and you can typically make up a Tuesday class with an extra Thursday class, for example, if you're out of town and have to skip a week. I find it amazing to see the creativity of the students around me and the progress on their pieces week-to-week too! I'd highly recommend taking a tour of the studio if you're interested in a new creative outlet! read more

If there were 10 stars, I'd be rating it that high! I began taking classes here a few months after I started chemotherapy. I really wanted something to help me keep my mind and body busy, that wouldn't use too much energy, but gave me a calm and creative outlet. Deepti was SO helpful and kind right from the start. She gave me the flexibility I needed when I was feeling ill, and the encouragement and guidance that I needed to get started on something I had never done before- I had no prior experience. I have now been going to classes for the past year and a half, and I hope never to stop. There's always more to learn and try. Deepti is the perfect teacher in that she knows when to provide instruction and guidance, and when to let you just go at it on your own. She encourages you to fulfill your passion for what you like to paint and gives you the skills you need to do 3/4 or more of the work on your own without more instruction until you want it/ask for it. She gives tips, suggestions, advice, and helps out just at the right times when you need it or get frustrated. She's SO creative and patient! This class has meant so much to me. I can't explain just how caring of a person Deepti is. She's invested in you as a person, not just you as a student. This class really became my mental therapy and helped me get through chemo, and all the repercussions after it. It has brought me great joy and stimulated so many brain cells that I wasn't sure I still had after my chemo and while I'm still taking a chemo oral medication. Deepti has helped me find a way to be proud of what I can create and also encouraged me to try new things, learn and deepen my learning. It's the first thing I've done in a long time that really has allowed me to be creative. And I've found such a sense of pride in my work, that I've even made paintings for family and friends who've asked. I did NOT have any skill in painting prior. I've come a long way and still have much to learn and improve, but Deepti is helping me get there. I started taking classes from Deepti in September 2020. I have since been going back every month due to the sheer improvement I've noticed in my artwork and potential. I was happy to discover this gem of a teacher after a lot of searching and going through different instructors. Deepti loves teaching. She loves seeing progress and inspires you to create what you feel like drawing or painting. There are no rules or restrictions to what you HAVE to work on. The class is about what you WANT to learn. You work on your ideas and in the process of working on them, she teaches you techniques and art fundamentals. In my opinion, this is a great approach. In the short time that I've been here, I've already strengthened my art foundations, for example, perspective, color theory, composition, anatomy, brushwork, and much more. Most of all I have learnt the power of observation and daily practice. When I first joined Artcircle, I was stuck and in a rut. I wanted to paint and copy what I saw from others vs painting from my own imagination. Deepti constantly pushes me to explore my ideas, to detach myself from copying, and gives me the confidence to develop my own style. It's very hard to find a teacher who does this. A teacher who focuses on you, your growth, and your individuality. Every artwork or canvas you work on is like a small project in itself. It develops through constant feedback from peers in the studio and Deepti herself. She gives her suggestions, recommendations, and critique in an unbiased manner and I have come to value this very much. It has aided my growth as an artist. My yelp review will not do justice to her teaching. Take a class for yourself and experience it. It would be beneficial to at least give it a shot for a month because it takes time to warm up. Deepti is great! This is not a place where you'll be taught how to draw correctly, but how to draw as a child from the bottom of your heart. But in the same time she will guide you at how to blend colors, how to compose a complete concept or what details to add or remove. But after all you will have complete freedom to originate from your own imagination. I didn't even think I had one, but the space is so inspiring, just explodes with creativity. Deepti has done an amazing job at setting this very creative art space for kids. My kids like that they have total control on what they want to create and then Deepti swoops in to help them make their art piece look better. My 9-year old boy joined the summer camp in person and he loved it! The abundance of precautions (masks, temperature checking with a scanner and social distancing inside the studio at all times) was greatly appreciated during this unprecedented time of COVID-19. The studio is intended for a wide range of age groups for children and even The teacher, Deepti, also the owner of the studio has great passion for both art and teaching. Students are also offered the opportunities to work on their own art projects in addition to the studio program. Painting with water guns is definitely one of the favorite moments for my boy! I'm really glad I found this studio for my son. The instructor is very good with kids, and I liked how she encouraged him. She is also an excellent artist and you can see all the beautiful artwork created there by her and her students. The classes let each student go at their own pace, so they never feel rushed or like it's too slow-paced either. They can choose what they want to work on, not only what they are drawing but whether they want to sketch or paint. I like the easygoing atmosphere there a lot. Another good thing about the instructor, Deepti, is that she's flexible about switching days/times occasionally if you need to, and we were allowed to start and stop when we needed, rather than committing to a full year when we weren't able to. Art is really good for kids but I especially like it for my boy, because it's calming and creative. It balances out his "wild side"! He loves to draw, but needed some instruction and encouragement, which is what he gets here. read more

Sagi is such a wonderful person and awesome instructor. She is so free spirited and knows just how to inspire the creativity in adults as well as children. Moreover, she is so flexible and works with your schedule. She goes above and beyond so you can continue your practice in a regular manner. Don't expect that she'll sit next to you and teach you everything step by step, because she won't be doing that. Her whole philosophy is to guide you while you explore your own artistic visions. I've sat in on one of her sessions for children and she is simply awesome with kids. She treats them like family, like she is their long lost grandmother. She just exudes this warmth and joy that is so lovely, it's no wonder that the kids love her! I was stunned by the skills of the young children in her classes -- future Picassos! The people who come to this studio are truly talented and great people to share a space with and learn from. It's so beautiful to see everyone's artistic development as it happens, including my own. I took Sagi's art classes for many years. The way that she runs her business is extremely unprofessional. Great art class terrible teacher. If you need constant abuse from the teacher to fuel your creative energy then this is the place to go. The teacher is extremely rude and disrespectful. Even though i was the one paying to attend her class, i was scared of her. She does not accept missed classes (REGARDLESS THE REASON) and will charge you for classes that you have not attended. Dont bother trying to explain the reason (i.e. family members death, child is sick or surgery) she will not listen. She will proudly express that she simply "does not care". read more

I signed up my 12-year old daughter because she wasn't able to play soccer due to an injury. Art was something she always wanted to do, but we never had time for. This art studio is a rare treasure! Deepti is a great artist, teacher, and amazing kind person all around. The students range from young children to adults, so it was great for my daughter to be exposed to different levels of art. What we really loved about this studio as compared to most others is that you can dive right into painting. Most other places require a very structured sequence of starting with pencil first, then pastels, then watercolor and last paint. It can take several years before your child will actually experience painting. At ArtCircle Studio your child can begin painting from day one.
