My 6 year old son and 9 year old daughter has taken classes with Ms. Svetlana for over 2 year now. I've taken art classes with Ms. Svetlana for almost nine years, and they only get better with every year that passes. She's introduced me to a wide variety of mediums and techniques, from charcoal and soft pastel to cross-hatching and measuring proportions. The art classes for children allow children to create craft projects and explore drawing and painting methods. Bonus: she also makes the best turkey burgers and macaroni in the world. The art classes for adults allow both children and adults to pursue any artistic interests they may have. I'm currently in her adult class. I can create my own project or draw a still life of candles; whatever my interests are, she helps me through the process. Whether you're in her children's or adult class, the environment is always comfortable and fun. She treats all of the children as if they are her own, and she's friends with her adults students. I'm at the age where I'm a mix of both; she gives me motherly advice, but we also talk about what's going on in both of our lives. She really cares about her students' lives; she'll ask you about your grades, your siblings, your children, or your grandchildren. She's caring, funny, crazy, smart, talented, weird, and every other good adjective out there. I hope anyone remotely interested in art will take one of her art classes.
