Come, come with me on a journey, to visit family and self heal. The plan? Sit down, have a coffee, maybe paint something.
OOOOKKKAYYY. Full stop here.
What actually happened was I entered a technicolor fever dream curated by the fabulous little woodland pixie queen herself, Nicole. If I could describe her, hmmm
She somehow manages to give glamorous Bob Ross energy, but like Bob Ross got a skincare routine, fabulous earrings, and enough caffeine to organize an entire creative community.
The whole place is painted in these gloriously bold colors that scream at you. Remember those paint colors your mom absolutely refused to let you put in your bedroom? Yeah...they are right here waiting for you. Every countertop is a different creative station, and every five feet I was saying, "WAIT...WE CAN DO THAT TOO?"
Macramé plant hanger? There's a spot.
Paint-by-number? Sure.
Freestyle painting? Obviously.
Candle making? Absolutely.
Tissue paper art? Yep.
Wood burning? Naturally.
Mosaics? Of course.
Kids have enough project kits to keep them occupied for hours, and adults have plenty too, because apparently healing your inner child now comes with glitter and Mod Podge.
And the events?
Ma'am...
One day it's adorable little juice-and-paint for kids.
The next it's giving, "Bring your friends, sip cocktails, make questionable artistic decisions, and call it self-care."
Could there be alcohol?
Could there not be alcohol?
The mystery is part of the experience, and frankly I support the chaos.
The best part? If your masterpiece is still drying, you can leave it there like the sophisticated artiste you've suddenly become.
"Yes, I'll retrieve my work later. It's curing."
I'm officially in my artery era...I mean artistry era...honestly both seem accurate after all the excitement.
Nicole hasn't just opened a craft store. She's built one of those rare places where people actually gather, laugh, create, and accidentally discover they can make a candle, a mosaic, and three new friends in the same afternoon.
