We were there today to pick up pieces that we had glazed the sat before for my roommates birthday…read more Three of us chose one piece each, a fox and a dolphin figurine and I chose an owl box that I now have sitting on my bedside table that I will keep Jewelry in because our cats LOVE my jewelry. Moonstones and Malachite pieces most of all. But now they can't get to it. The place was warm and inviting. Prices were a little steep for some things but considering all glazes and the firing are factored into the prices. I will be going back with the same friends +1 later this month in order to paint more. The ladies running this were very helpful selecting pieces and glazing them as well. Prices range from $5 to $60. I believe. I have thoughts of choosing a single mug and pot that could sit with my Altar items. I also want to do a triple Goddess trivet too. If I can make any suggestions, it would be, since their greenware comes from China... If they got ANY Anime figurines and such would be super great. For example: Totoro, Catbus, No Face, Raddish Spirit these from Studio Ghibli films. From Bed and Breakfast for Spirits: Ginji the 9 tailed fox, Master Inn-keeper, Japanese temples. They do have a nice selection of Star Wars pieces too. Including the Mandalorian. Fantasy characters like faeries and dragons and faery houses too. I just think they are missing out there because if they could get anything from any Studio Ghibli films, Bed & Breakfast for Spirits, Flying Witch, "Zodiac characters" from Fruits Basket series, and so much more we would come at least twice a week to paint/glaze pieces. Last note, if you go in during your birthday you can glaze a piece of cake plate for free.

My niece & I had a fantastic time!! We also get beautiful pieces of are for mementos.read more

I'm an avid scrapbooker and have been for many years. As the market's changed, many stores that…read morewere around 10 years ago are no longer open. Other places have turned up like this location and I'm grateful because it allows crafters like me to still do our thing. I happened to stumble across Crop Paper Scissors entirely by accident. Back in the day, scrapbook stores would have Friday and Saturday events where you would go in after the store closed (from 6 PM to midnight, usually) and scrap, have dinner brought in and meet other people in your area. some stores still do this, but it's more during the day and no foods provided. This place has been open for about two years now from what I understand. It's not so much a place to shop, but a place do scrapbook, quilt, knit or do whatever craft it is that you enjoy. It was started by a few women in the area who were in the same boat as me where they found there wasn't many (if any) places left to get together and craft. The lady who runs it has consistent and regular events for group scrapping (or whatever your craft is) and there's so much to do here. Every month or so she has a themed weekend crop where you come in for Saturday and Sunday (friday if you want, but no meals are provided) and hang out with a bunch of other ladies to do your thing. You can go at it alone like I did or meet up with another friend if you choose. I believe she also does private rentals for parties if interested. The July theme was "lazy days of summer." You can come and go as needed when here, and she's close to Hobby Lobby, Michaels arts and crafts, a kroger and some other places as well. You get a 6 food table with a cutting mat, a welcome gift (usually something small) a comfy chair and a few other things as well. Most of the events will have some sort of meals provided, but double check to make sure. There's a fridge here if you choose to bring your own snacks or drinks, a microwave, sink a Keurig coffee maker. There is a small charge for the coffee, but you can also run to Kroger where there's a Starbucks if you're like me and need something stronger. Booking here is easy and done online. You can do it for one, two or three days depending on your schedule. If you need a hotel, there's plenty in the Toledo area for a reasonable price and she also has a few listed if you need some ideas. She has a variety of different activities throughout the year, so if you don't want to do an entire weekend, look for her Friday night pizza party events, or other things she has planned. The place also has some die cuts for sale along with themed cards like happy birthday, thank you, etc for sale for a reasonable price. You can pay by cash, venmo or credit card for an extra 3%. There aren't many tools available here so make sure you bring anything you need to cut paper, photos or whatnot. Overall a fabulous place and I will be returning here for more!
