Art All Night is a tribute to art, culture and music in all eight wards in DC. This year's festival takes place September 11 & 12. The locations can be found at
artallnight.org, on instagram & the mobile app "Art All Night." The areas are usually near a metro and include Union Station, The Wharf, Anthem Row and Carnegie Library lawn. Each ward has activities which range from live music, DJs, art on display or for sale, exhibits and drawings.
Union Station's theme this year is "The Art of Style." We enjoyed The Artsy Fashioned Peacock Closet hosted by artist Tom Noll and Jose Alberto Ucles. @artitagallery has hand crafted pieces by Nasim Maleki.
Studio One Printing made fun free t-shirts with a design by artist Kelly Towles. He had a display called, "The Big Tee" - appropriately named.
The Blue Hue Gallery managed by @LeaCraigie, featured amazing art by local artists. Elizabeth Varner had some incredible pieces. Mezzanine Market had 10 vendors with vinyl, men's clothing and more.
Dina's Doodles had five minute drawings of people. She was at a Yelp wine tasting event last year.
"America the Game" is a pop up gallery that is on display on the mezzanine level (old Ann Taylor store). It is open until October 10th.
The events typically occur from 7pm - 3am. It is worth a visit. read more
