BHS takes very good care of its students, especially those with special needs. They are very organized and caring folks. Sports here very football and basketball oriented, with the community turning out big time for these matches. Remodelling currently affecting school due to growth. This school hosted the 2A Division Sectionals for 2025-2026. The school itself isn't very large, but the gym is a decent size. The line at the concession stand was long during halftime. They had one line for card and one for cash, but the area was tight and crowded. Bathrooms were also crowded. Prices at the concession stand are higher compared to other schools, I paid $4 for a hot dog that wasn't even warm. Seating is adequate, and one of the scoreboards shows player numbers, points, and fouls, which is nice for keeping track of stats.

They are involved in sports, drama, etc. and love the activities and their classes. Bethesda is solidly Christian, but it has an open enrollment (meaning, you don't have to profess Christianity to enroll). Each student does, however, have to abide by a code of conduct, which keeps a morality on campus that you will not find elsewhere. The staff and administration love the students and love God. They are there for the right reasons. There are many Christian schools out there, but this one has stayed true to God's Word. We could not be happier here.

After testing into four Honors classes, my youngest struggled with the transition and all of the homework, but her teachers were interested in finding the best solution for her success. Trying to fit in cross country practice and doing homework well past her bedtime, we decided to drop two of the classes, which has allowed her to learn at a better pace and have a social life. While FINO is available to assist students in getting their classwork done, I'd like to see a study hall or homework assistance plan without a 'stigma'. Many parents that I know punish their kids for getting it, I appreciate the variety of classes and extra-curricular activities offered. My daughter has enjoyed Cross Country, French, choir and playing the flute for the first time this year and is looking forward to participating in more athletics. There are a lot of parents involved in activities and it they seem very encouraging and supportive, which I appreciate, as a single working parent. I like to see that my daughter is happy and proud of what she's learning when she shares her day with me.

Went to a basketball game here vs Crispus Attucks. The first parking lot we entered, we tried…read moreseveral doors and did not see the gym entrance, it was annoying since it's so cold. We had to go back in the car and drive around, and then we saw the gym entrance. The parking lot is small, we had to park across the street. The snow made it difficult, they didn't pave the parking lot well. Entrance fee was accepted by card or cash, I didn't get the amount because my husband paid. The concession stand is right outside the entrance after the entry table. They do take card for concessions, but they charge an extra fee for each item if paying with card. The hot dogs are beef, the popcorn didn't have much flavor, and they offer variety of chips. Prices are fair for the items, but that extra charge is inconvenient. The gym is large, and there's plenty of space for spectators. They had a dj at the game which makes it lively. This game was so close and really good, went to overtime but unfortunately gw fell short.
