Ok, Get this !! I'm…read moretraveling home on my wedding anniversary. Due to the weather my connection to Corpus is canceled in Houston so I'm spending the night at the Comfort Inn on JFK. At five minutes before closing time, my wife apparently calls JFK Liquor (long distance) and asks for a favor. Since I'm going to be stuck there for our Anniversary she asks them to deliver a bottle of my favorite bourbon to the hotel. They not only delivered the bourbon, they decorated the bag and had it there before I checked in. You can't find service like this anymore. These people really care about their customers. There's a smokehouse that sells brisket and sausage in the store, a deli with pizza and fried chicken, and even a pineapple cutting machine. We came to the peninsula with some favorite food products from HEB and I'd do that again. I just learned that outside of some product specific choices I could have come with much less and just shopped local. There's a hardware and souvenir shop inside. We actually bought and hung hummingbird feeders at the family property. Yes, they have everything.
