Where do I begin? I cannot put into words how much Arrowhead helped me. I randomly called them in the middle of the night right before Christmas. I had never attempted to seek help for my alcoholism which had been getting dangerously worse for the past 90 days-ish prior to making that phone call. The first thing I have to say is that they answered the phone on the very first ring ( and have continued to maintain that wonderful protocol every time I've called since). I spoke to an angel, her name is Lisa. She listened so patiently, she told me to come in, she said I could come right then... I was worried because I had no insurance at all and zero money to pay. She said " it doesn't matter, you come now". She offered to get me a cab ride. Luckily I had a ride. I arrived and was greeted by Lisa. She was just as amazing in person as she was in the phone. She treated me like family. I was admitted to this center. THIS SAVED MY LIFE!!!!! I stayed from 12/24/19 through 12/30/19. Each and every one of the staff there are exactly where they belong. I've never seen a medical facility where the staff exceeded my expectations at such a level that I am left speechless til this very day. I am writing this under a ' pen name' but I hope the staff and patients I met during this beautiful experience know who I am. I wanna say this to anyone who is so alone and suffering. Don't hesitate. Go to Arrowhead. Please.. it will save your life . I am clean and sober. I'm enrolled and attending their intensive outpatient program right now. It's great. Regina is a real treat. I love them all. The staff at Arrowhead coordinated all my Medicaid applications , and took care of all my post discharge care. I now have medical insurance, rides through net plus ( free rides to all medical appointments) and I am so very happy. I'm alive in the best way. Oh, and I must give a huge shout out to the chef. I forgot his name, but he's a very tall buff guy who created the best meals ever. I love this place. I hope someone reads this review and takes my advice. My sister checked herself into Arrowhead because she was feeling suicidal. She was asked to leave after a day because they said there was an issue with her insurance. Less than 72 hours later she died bysuicide. She had said she was suicidal in this place and they left her to die. She also had said they made her feel bad about herself. DO NOT GO HERE. GO ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE. read more

I would highly recommend that this place is avoided at all costs. The staff are rude and inconsiderate. Simple questions to the staff are either ignored or answered in a rude and condescending manner. I went to visit a family member who had admitted himself for alcoholism. He had been there for about 2 and one half days. Upon my visit, I learned that he was being discharged. Naturally, he was nowhere close to being in a position to be discharged. He was a physical and mental wreck. When I ask for a doctor or a person in charge, I was told that there was nobody there that was in charge, but I could speak with his nurse. His nurse explained that he was being discharged because his vital signs were stable and that Arrowhead is a for profit company and Medicare only covered 3 days. If you care about yourself or your loved ones, you will avoid this place. I would be happy to see this place go out of business and the staff unemployed. They simply took money from Medicare and in turn nearly detroyed a patient. They would benefit greatly by selling beer in the lobby. read more

If you are looking for a place to help you with mental health issues, then you need to look somewhere else. This facility seems only to cater to people with drug and alcohol issues. The intake person straight up lied by saying that they would make me comfortable, since I was looking for help with my bi-polar and anxiety problems. What do they do? They take all my medicine that helps me away until I see the doctor the next day. And that is at the doctor's leisure. I was the only one there not for drugs or alcohol. All the sessions revolved around recovery from drugs and/or alcohol. Once I saw the doctor, Dr Adler, who was horrible and did not listen to a word I said, they still kept me from my regular bipolar and anxiety medications. So now I'm going into withdrawals because of that. The nurses could care less because I was not a drug/alcohol patient. I checked myself out against doctors orders and the cherry on the cake is the nurses told me they would not give me back my anxiety and lyrica medications. Since they are controlled substances, it's their policy to keep and destroy those meds. So I was in this facility to receive help and all they did was put me in withdrawal from my medications then steal them from me, when during assessment it was promised I would be stabilized and given the help I needed. A side note, the front/assessment area is very nice and clean while the back patient area is filthy and constantly smells of feces. It's almost as if the patients do not deserve a cleaner living space. read more

I was there for medical physical detox only, not rehab. Didn't provide a list of approved items before I checked in, so didn't let he have half of my items while other patients were allowed to have the same items that I wasn't, and they cut apart my clothes that I did bring. Forced different medications on me and changed dosages on the ones I was allowed to have, even though a doctor prescribed me certain medications that I had to take. Kept me drugged up on phenobarbitol for the 2 days I was there. Had to attend "group" classes that in no way pertained to me, and was given poor marks on my chart if I didn't attend. Was told I could not be discharged unless I had a confirmed appointment with a psychiatrist outside of the facility. On day 2, the doctor literally forced me to take subutex, which I had a horrible reaction to and couldn't breathe and was rushed to the hospital for and admitted. They offered to contact my spouse, which they only told him I was taken in because I was dizzy, so no major deal and to not be alarmed. I almost died in the emergency room due to anaphylactic shock, my heart was almost near stopping completely and no oxygen in my body. Once I was admitted, Arrowhead discharged me without contacting my spouse. My mother came later that day and had to pick up my things and had to wait in the lobby with very questionable folks who were obviously tweaking on drugs while they took their time retrieving my things. I spent 3 days in the hospital. A few days later I requested my records and was told I would have to pay around $45 for them. NOT a favorable visit by any means!!! After I got my records from the ER, I found that Arrowhead had told them I "abused" prescription drugs, which is not the case. I took either exactly what was prescribed or LESS after having a stroke earlier in the year. I was not aware of the possibility of physical addiction until it was too late. Infuriating!!! read more
