We interviewed and met with more than 10 contractors and got a number of bids. Frankly, we were getting worried. Many of the contractors in this area are just flaky! They don't call you back, they don't show up when you make an appointment to meet, and in general they don't do what they say they will do. Later, when we compared several bids side by side, we found a few had proposed inflated bids.
