I went over the first day to see if they needed anything and there were 2 guys just standing around, doing nothing, no supervision. They complete the job and leave. Their materials stay in the driveway for a couple of weeks at least. No contact from company. The materials get picked up, still no contact. (Vacant property.) We have to fix several "mistakes" or poor workmanship - big air pockets in concrete, big ridges where forms didn't fit right, rebar not trimmed (specifically asked for it to be trimmed), bolts not in correct locations. Just before Christmas (Dec. 15th) we are contacted by the company and want payment - this is now months later. We are given a bill for almost double the estimate. No documentation, no backup, just like that. He wants my husband to meet him to pay him. My husband pays him. No problem, except when I see the bill. No documentation, no details to show why it was nearly double the estimate. I call and ask about some backup documentation, but none has ever arrived. He's been paid and he's gone.
