It is also a nice break from the busy beach area. The food was great and the selection for the menu of the day was terrific with lots of seafood as well as lamb and beef. The service was very kind and they spoke both Spanish and French as well as Basque. We had the muscles with french fries and a nice rosé. They were kind to separate the lamb entrée for our kids. I had a lovely gateaux Basque and café. Given all we had, the price was reasonable but not cheap. The place is about a half mile from the train station and completely worth a stop.

I was completely surprised by the quality and the price of the venue, as the place seems quite "low key" at first: not crowded or modern or hipe. Just a chef and a waitress and a few tables already taken. We sat and ordered a pitcher of white wine, an Hawaiian pizza and a Milanaise. Th pizzas were completely homemade (not canned, industrial pineapple but a fresh chunk) and the wine was high quality. The desserts, a crème brûlée and ice cream, were as good. For all of this (two pizzas, desserts, white wine and a coke) we spent less than 40€. The quality-price is amazing and I would totally recommend: its completely worth your money! The only downside would be the time between the order and the serving which seemed a bit long, but it is totally justified as you can see the chef carefully preparing the pizzas! They were really welcoming and we will definitely come back again.
