(Owner) & Kyle O., florist at Donovan's Dish. Although the weather was very upsetting & I couldn't get married in her gorgeous rose garden, the reception area was breathtaking thanks to them. It looked like something from a fairy tale. Before seeing it all come together, I was often flustered & stressed from planning it all & let a few things slip. I forgot to do a few things like print a photo for the card box - Melissa was there to take care of it; we were late & were bringing some of the decor, so it was late - Melissa took care of it. I didn't want to have to make anymore decisions the day of so - Melissa & a family friend coordinated everything. So, I felt like I needed to leave just a bit more for any future brides. I was a stress ball & throughout the whole day I must say Melissa really came through. I can only imagine how stressful it must be to host a big lavish wedding, so her carrying the burden of my stress & her own was very appreciated!!! I believe in the transfer of energy including but not limited to by touch or speech. In light of her curt tone, I would rather not receive nor absorb anything she'd question or whisper into nor touch any part of my being. We personally have gay friends but we believe their behavior is a sin. I am a sinner and I believe we should love the sinner and hate the sin. The current law allows gay couples to marry. I think gay couples should respect the beliefs of others just as they want to be respected. " Clearly, they don't want to come right out and say we are not welcome, but they made it clear. Nowhere in my initial email was I disrespectful to them, so I'm not sure whey they felt the need to point out that we needed to respect their beliefs. A simple, "We can not accommodate your request at this time," would have been fine. We were not asking them to officiate our wedding. We were asking them if they would do their jobs as business owners, take our money, host our event, and keep their personal opinions to themselves. How their religious beliefs impact their business I don't really understand. It is really too bad, because as I mentioned, this venue looks absolutely gorgeous. However after the rude and frankly condescending email back, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I suggest those who support marriage equality do not support this highly unprofessional business.

Despite not being driven by a huge bankroll, the vibe is friendly and comfortable. The owner said everyone there is family, and we were treated like it. They are dog friendly with plenty of outdoor seating and gaming areas. Inside it have of an old school brewery vibe that screamed "we are about the beer first". The beer list was not large, but it was quality across the board. I did a flight and then a full pour of my fave, which was Fat Albert, their Scottish Wee Heavy. Three owner took time to sit with us and answer my nerdy questions. I hope to make it back soon. I hit 12 breweries on the trip and this one was the one I most enjoyed visiting.
