Everyone was VERY nice and really good at their jobs. My dad had a recent stay in Moravian Village after an accident. This was a pretty good way to do an apples to apples comparison. The staff at Moravian has a really high turnover, they seem understaffed, and unhappy at their jobs. Supervisory staff are very unprofessional. Cedarbrook seems to have almost all people who will spend their career at the facility, have plenty of staff, even on weekends, and everyone seems legitimately happy at their job. The rehab staff, OT and PT, at Moravian were not terrible, but they did not tailor anything to my dad's needs. They seemed to be just going through the motions. Cedarbrook was just the opposite, the staff really wanted to zero in on what would help my dad to get back home and be successful. We both came away very impressed with everything at Cedarbrook. I know this sounds like an ad, but this place really is that much better than others in the area.

They are encouraged to take meals together. The staff is kind to the repeated requests and questions posed by the residents. This is a small home, about 45 residents, but the care given is excellent. The staff knows each resident and each resident's visitors. My mother-in-law was a resident at Mosser Nursing Home until her recent death. Throughout her entire 2+ year stay, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our questions were answered and inquiries about things attended to quickly. Any time there was a change in MIL's condition, we got a phone call. During her last days, many of the staff came in to say goodbye (even though she wasn't fully conscious) and to tell her they loved her. Also during this time, our family stayed around the clock with her and we were pleased to see the care given to all the residents even in the wee hours. During a hospital stay, the medical staff commented frequently at the absence of bed sores; we know this is due to the great care my mother-in-law got at Mosser. As a family, we are glad we found Mosser.

After touring numerous facilities we begged for admittance at country meadows. The biggest plus there is that they are well staffed and my dad would have the proper care that was necessary, the patient to staff ratio was one of the highest I saw and this makes a big difference in the care you would receive. (previously, prior to the amputation he was at New Eastwood in Easton where he'd press a call button and over an hour and a half later would soil himself because nobody responded, so staffing number's definitely count)..... Throughout the whole stay at Country Meadows the staff all cared for my father very well, he liked some of the food and some he did not. Although he got a bed ulcer, he previously had the start of it at the hospital so CM was definitely not to blame. Their showers are clean and easy accessible and they have the staff to bathe residents twice a week. They even have a salon to get your hair washed in the interim. Everyone there was accommodating to his needs and would recommend them to anyone looking for short term rehabilitation or even long term care. I felt that my dad was safe there every time I left from a visit.

The entire staff, whether nursing, Activities, aides, PT, OT, SW, speech, or food services, has been consistently attentive, responsive, and caring. I recently spoke to the director about coming back to perform for the residents, which by the way was told how much the residents loved the times that I was there for them. However, I was informed that the Administrator, told the Director, NOT, to have me back. And she herself apologized to me. Judgeing by reading some of the reviews about Complete Care, as well as my experience with them,this is not the place for care for your loved ones. He lost a lot of weight after being in the hospital and nursing home during the start of COVID. After two months, we felt that an assisted living community would be more stimulating for him and through much research, Devon House seemed like the perfect fit! They were so kind and definitely nursed him back to health over an eight month period. He improved so much that he now resides at an independent senior community where he lives in his own apartment and takes care of himself. For the record, I wish I could give this place zero stars…read more My mom was transferred here to continue rehabilitation from a stroke. Call bells were not answered and the doctor did not examine my mom until several days after she was admitted. My mom developed a serious infection, which the doctor and several of the nursing staff saw, in her face but no one seemed alarmed even though her face swelled to be twice its size on the right. The swelling occurred and increased and was not treated by the nursing home staff for two days before I said I wanted to call 911 as my mom was in and out of consciousness with blood and puss dripping from the left side of her mouth and she was also hallucinating. Further, the top of her tounge was dry and peeling off and bleeding. I was told that 911 could not be called unless it was ordered by the doctor. The nurses called the doctor twice. The first time the nurse said she left a message with the doctors answering service and the second time I stood by the nurse while she tried to call and the doctor approved for 911 to be called as 'her daughter is here and is concerned'. My mom was taken to st. Lukes where she was examined and had several tests done for us to be told that the infection was so bad that it was pushing her air way to the left and it was starting to be pushed closed. My mom was rushed to emergency surgery to have a breathing tube placed because her mouth and neck were too swollen to have the breathing tube placed in the ER and we were warned that she may need a tracheotomy. During surgery, surgeons also attempted to drain the infection. Since then, her face and neck are still so swollen that the breathing tube cannot be removed and she remains in critical condition in the ICU unconscious. We were also told by the ICU nurse that my mom was filthy and it looked like she hadn't been washed in several days and in addition she did not appear to have her brief changed in a long time as she had bowel movement stuck to her bottom and had diaper rash. The doctors still don't know much about the infection but they stated that it was most likely caused by dehydration. My mom never received any therapy while at Luther Crest and my family has been told several times by doctors and nurses at St. Lukes that it was a good thing that I visited and advocated for my mom because she could have died. My mom was there for 4 days.

My Stepmother passed away in this facility, when her belongings were returned, her wedding ring, that was on her finger for 33 yrs was GONE!!! When my Dad asked, they attempted to give him THE WRONG RING! My Dad and I have had several conversations with the administration. Today I had a conference call with 2 local admins and 2 Diakon operations folks. I was told nothing could or would be done. That if we were concerned, we should have taken the ring with us. I responded for the $45K my Dad now owes them, we had faith in the care that she was receiving and that her belongings would be cared for - they had no response. I had been told on a previous call, if we had the receipt, they could maybe do something- did I mention they were married 33 yrs ago?!?? Not even the IRS expects that level of proof of receipt.
