Everyone was VERY nice and really good at their jobs. My dad had a recent stay in Moravian Village after an accident. This was a pretty good way to do an apples to apples comparison. The staff at Moravian has a really high turnover, they seem understaffed, and unhappy at their jobs. Supervisory staff are very unprofessional. Cedarbrook seems to have almost all people who will spend their career at the facility, have plenty of staff, even on weekends, and everyone seems legitimately happy at their job. The rehab staff, OT and PT, at Moravian were not terrible, but they did not tailor anything to my dad's needs. They seemed to be just going through the motions. Cedarbrook was just the opposite, the staff really wanted to zero in on what would help my dad to get back home and be successful. We both came away very impressed with everything at Cedarbrook. I know this sounds like an ad, but this place really is that much better than others in the area.

Dr. Millman is knowledgeable and down to earth. He has worked WITH ME, in that once an exercise is introduced, he builds on the technique rather than assuming that that I got it the first time. I have seen a BIG improvement in my range of motion and in my ability to minimize my own neck discomfort. The office staff is professional and friendly. They go out of their way to accommodate scheduling needs. All in all, Bethlehem Rehabilitation Specialists runs like a well oiled machine. Dr. Daley, who was in charge of running the hospital when I was there deserves ZERO stars. He was very unprofessional and petty with me. I raised VERY specific concerns and issues I had with him to a number of different staff. I always got the same exact answer, "Oh, everybody usually loves him!". I waited to post this for a while, because I assumed someone from Good Shepherd would reach out to me about the problems I had while there, that I made multiple staff members very aware of. I never heard anything. I think that says a lot about the management, or lack thereof. I would never get treated there again unless I knew Dr. Daley was no longer on staff. I also think it's problematic that nobody cared to address any of the issues I had with me. Added 1-6 In response to your answer, why would I reach out to you now? To what point? It's happened again. I was given a date and time to see my pain specialist for a knee injection. When I got there the receptionist told me they never scheduled the appointment.. I had taken the day off from work and had my wife do the driving. Compounding that, I was supposed to have a phone conference the day before which never occurred. This isn't the first time Lehigh Valley Health Network did this. Their merger as to better health care management is a failure! To top it off, they told me the manager would call me to straighten this out. You guessed it, she never called-exactly as she did (didn't) do before. If you have an appointment with anyone from LVHN/Jefferson don't count on it! Be sure to call a day or two ahead to confirm as they are unable to control their schedules! They will always say it wasn't their fault!

My Stepmother passed away in this facility, when her belongings were returned, her wedding ring, that was on her finger for 33 yrs was GONE!!! When my Dad asked, they attempted to give him THE WRONG RING! My Dad and I have had several conversations with the administration. Today I had a conference call with 2 local admins and 2 Diakon operations folks. I was told nothing could or would be done. That if we were concerned, we should have taken the ring with us. I responded for the $45K my Dad now owes them, we had faith in the care that she was receiving and that her belongings would be cared for - they had no response. I had been told on a previous call, if we had the receipt, they could maybe do something- did I mention they were married 33 yrs ago?!?? Not even the IRS expects that level of proof of receipt.
