The impact you make can be seen and felt immediately upon starting your volunteerism. I've enjoyed it so much I have brought in my mom and husband and many friends on board and they are loving it too! The individualized care and consideration that goes into each client is top notch and as a volunteer you will be abundantly personally fulfilled by the time spent with the clients. The entire team is wonderful to work with and you are openly and consistently shown appreciation for the time you give as volunteer. The work simply cannot be done without our volunteers! For these reasons I volunteer in their Meals on Wheels Program, delivering much-needed food to our clients. These are nutritious meals, providing much-needed sustenance. And, in many cases the other volunteers and I represent the only human contact clients have each day. It's very gratifying work and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Everything was explained to me in a manner I could understand and the staff addressed all my questions and concerns. I want to especially thank the pre-op nurse, Raizel, who went above and beyond. The ORs (Debbie, Nicole, Iris) and the recover nurse, Terri.... superb job on making me feel comfortable and taking good care of me! The facility also followed up with me a couple days later to make sure I was doing alright.

I am very disappointed and hate to give a 1 star review since everyone else (pre-op team,…read moreanesthesia team and doctors) were fantastic but overall my experience post-op was absolutely horrific at this surgery center. The post op nurse with lip fillers and glasses treated me so terrible that I left in tears. She ripped the IV out of my vein aggressively leaving my hand swollen and bruised 9 hrs later. She dumped my clothes on the bed and said "get dressed" 30 minutes following the procedure. I was still super tired and loopy. She didn't supply me with any items to help stop / control the bleeding on the way home or even clean up before getting dressed .The procedure I had left the bottom half of my body looking like a massacre scene and I was given nothing to clean up with. ZERO compassion or "care" were provided today by the post op nurse. See below pics of BRUISING from her ripping the stickers off me. When I said owww from the rip, she said "fine you do it" and left me to remove all of the stickers on me myself. I am traumatized by the post op care I received at this facility.

Accentcare Hospice (Shauna - nurse) was compassionate, caring, professional and available. I had…read moreaccess to her personal number as well as after hours care. I never felt alone. My mother was in a memory care facility. Shauna visited at least once a week, aides came another two days, music therapy and a pastor also visited. Everyone of them cared for her with dignity and respect. I received calls and updates regularly. It was an emotional time - yet Shauna was available and walked me down some difficult roads. The palliative care was perfect - Shauna worked with the facility in training and being a lead member of Mom's team. She helped with transferring her to Dunedin's in house AccentCare hospice to allow her 24 hour care and to pass with dignity and respect. Every nurse at that facility was professional, knowledgeable and compassionate as well. This group helped me navigate a very difficult, stressful time with understanding and love.
