This is a gem. It is a generational barbershop. I live in Washington DC and have gotten haircuts all over the country. I have family in Scottsdale and get my haircut at Aron's every time I visit. I was remarkably unimpressed by the haircut Aron gave me. My hair was medium-long, and I asked him to clean it up and leave at least medium length. Instead, he cut it remarkably short, not quite a military cut but moving in that direction. He did not listen to my preferences at all, just did what he preferred, without telling me. I would not recommend this shop at all. I might add, by the way, that I thought it was not kept very clean, and had a neglected feeling about its maintence and care. read more

Probably THE WORST haircut ever. The guy cutting it was trying to brag to his buddies during the cut how 'fast' he can cut. ' 15mins and I'm already 75% done' what?? the arrogance was off -putting alone but the result was laughable. The haircut was HORRENDOUS do NOT go here. He should be ashamed . Had to keep pointing out what he missed in the end just left . This is what they think a finished haircut looks like. The fade is dreadful. As someone who gets weekly haircuts (yes, you read that right), it's difficult to stay fresh when I'm on the road for work back - to - back - to - back 3 weeks in a row. 2 weeks ago, while in San Francisco, I visited what I presumed to be a solid barbershop based on yelp... but man, did I get scalped (no pun intended). Maybe it was a newbie, but I was super disappointed with the outcome. My part was uneven, the neckline was crooked, and a chunk of my right side was lopped off. So yea, super-pissed. I let it grow back for a couple weeks, and then visited Aron while staying at a hotel nearby for, what else, work. Mah man cleaned me up NICE! Straight, clean lines...and quick. This guy knows hair. Man, probably one of the worst haircuts I've ever gotten. First time time in and won't be a returning costumer. I asked for a low skin fade with a hard part. He started with the hard part and at that moment, I knew I messed up. The hard part is so visibly uneven. The cowlick area is messed up, sticking out every which way, and the whole haircut was rushed. I was in the chair for maybe 15 minutes. Didn't even use a mirror to show me how the back looks and ask if I liked the lhaircut. Customer service was hardly there. No greeting when I walked in the shop. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt, but I felt obligated to share my experience here. read more

I've been coming to Aron since I moved out here years ago. Prior to Aron, I had the same barber for 10 years and only 3 in my life. The first cut Was surprisingly perfect, and I've seen him every 2 weeks since. It's a nice and relaxed atmosphere, couple TVs, and I always look forward to it. Literally the worst haircut I've ever had. Aron doesn't listen. I asked for a medium haircut - I still wanted to comb the sides back. He cut it so short on the sides (less than 1/4 inch up by the part) that I can't comb it at all, much less back. Plus he overused the thinning scissors and now everything is spiky. read more

I have been getting my hair cut by Aron since he was in Hayden & Via de Ventura area.Although there are 2 CHAIN shops within walking distance and are a couple dollars less, I will only go here. Every cut is perfect ( and I am very picky ). He not only does a precision cut but also a hot lather neck shave. Awesome ! Then he finishes with an electric massager on your neck and shoulders. Even if someone is waiting he doesn't rush or skip anything. He has a flat screen if you wanna watch sports. It's never really busy so there isn't a long wait.
