Mixed feelings. 2 of the doctors I have met have been so kind...the others seem really indifferent…read more(which is fine). My issue is the records department. The woman I have spoken with 2ce is horrifically condescending. I have been attempting to get my records for about 12 days now. I filled out the required form and gave payment information...then nothing. So I called 4 days later. I was met with hostility and spoken to like I was an idiot because it had not been 5 business days. She actually COUNTED the days to me slowly like I was a toddler. I told her that I understand that it has been 4 days... A - no where does it say how long it would take (I was calling to inquire, not complain). and B- the front desk sent me to her bc they said they did not see the form on my chart. Then she told me that I must not have paid (I could HEAR the eyeroll). I told her I had sent my cc info and agreed to payment. So then of course she said that I need to wait and it would be sent it me. I asked her to confirm that they received my form. She refused and said I need to wait... they "don't lose forms". Then - you guessed it - my records NEVER came. So I called again. Again met with hostility. I started explaining that I was trying to get my records and she said "I can't do anything because I don't even know who I am talking to and we have hundreds of patients." Like... what? So ask for my name. I was trying to make sure I was speaking with the right person. Low and behold - she cannot find my form. They do not have it, even though I received a confirmation email. Even though I called last week to confirm that they did. Before she realized this she continued to speak to me like I was a nuisance. Once she realized, she apologized for it being lost and said I needed to fill it out again. Why the hostility? I am one of the nicest people you could meet...and I am pregnant. I literally CANNOT believe this lady has a job in customer service. The first time I spoke to her I started crying she was so rude. This time I was prepared, but why do I have to wear ARMOR to ask for MY records?

Last year I moved into the neighborhood and called Babylon Village Medical Associates to schedule…read morean appointment for a physical and establish a primary. I was put on a "waiting list" for any of the doctors. I called every month for 4 months and was told I'm still on the list. I never heard back from the office. Fast forward a year, I called this February to try and schedule an appointment for August and to establish a primary. I was told that all of the doctors are taking new patients that are family and friends of people who are already patients and to go find another doctor in the neighborhood!! I couldn't believe it, so I nicely asked to speak to the office manager, and the receptionist told me that the office manager would tell me the same thing. I found this to be very unprofessional!!

They claim to be a better alternative to traditional doctor's office. But they are not…read more They messaged us on the day of our scheduled annual physical to let us know that we can't get lab work done during the appointment because their lab closes around the appointment time, and I will have to come in another time to just get my lab works done. How could they not know this earlier and reach out to reschedule? They just expect me to take time off again during a work week to come in? This is very unprofessional, and disrespectful of anyone's time, especially during a work week. I chose the membership because I wanted a more efficient way to see doctors but they made it harder and more difficult than just any traditional doctor's office out there. On the phone with an administrative assistant, complained about the situation and asked to speak with someone about cancelling the membership. She did not even try to keep me as a member at all, and didn't even bother to let me speak anyone. All I knew was my membership is canceled and I will get the refund. Let's see how far this type of operation and attitude can take you. Funny thing is, there are just so many doctors office out there to choose from.

Dr. Buxbaum wanted me to finish the current prescription I was on before beginning a new medication…read moredespite our agreement that my current prescription was not helping my symptoms. Her reasoning? She didn't want the remainder of my current prescription to wind up in the water supply: "better in your body than in the water". She was prioritizing the environment over patient health which is ridiculous because there are responsible ways to dispose of leftover medication - I wouldn't just put it in the trash. A few days after my appointment, the drugstore still didn't have the prescription for my new medication. I figured she'd forgotten so I sent a note to the practice who said they'd remind her. Still nothing. 2.5 weeks after my appointment, Dr. Buxbaum sent me a note saying she was sending over my prescription. It's been a month and still nothing. Whether she forgot or was hoping to "force" me to continue taking the medication that didn't help my symptoms, this is not a doctor I would recommend to anyone.

I joined One Medical years ago and have never looked back. I had a horrible experience with NY…read moredoctors previously - nearly impossible to get an appt when you need one immediately, long wait times once you actually get the appointment, doctor is rushed, etc. It's completely the opposite at One Medical - online booking, video visits, quick prescriptions via their app for common issues like a UTI, great online communication portal, and everyone is super friendly and accommodating. I see Dr. Lamarre now and she's wonderful! But the great thing is that if I need to see someone else in a different location they have always been just as awesome. Can't recommend enough.

The doctor looked at my rash through one of those lens thing and felt it and determined it was nothing to be concerned about. No tests, no skin scrapings, no lotions, nothing. I have no issue with this because it wasn't necessary - and two days later the rash was all but gone. My issue is with the huge bill I was left with! OM was in-network, so I expected a very bill. Instead, they billed my insurance $740 (!!!!) and of that, I was left to pay $475. Just think about that....$475 for a doctor to look at skin rash. This is insane! I spoke to my Benefits Manager and he did some research and if I'd gone to CityMD (which I'd done in the past), I would've had to pay only about $200. So OM was more than twice as much!! I would strongly advise anyone to go to another one of these types of clinics, like CityMD, because you will likely be shafted with a huge bill for the most minimal thing done.
