In 2003 I bought my complete set of kitchen appliances from SouthTowns Appliance at this location…read moreand they would have gotten 5 starts if I were writing Yelp reviews back then. Today, the parts, service and repair people who were in the back have expanded to the entire facility and are keeping up the tradition of excellence. My 19-year-old dishwasher finally wore out. Me, being "thrifty" aka "cheap" priced a new one at Best Buy, Lowes and Home Depot before heading here. Each of them had a model to fit my requirements (24 inch stainless steel front and tub) on sale. None had the one I wanted on display or in stock. I would have to order and wait. Only Lowes had someone in the store who knew how to find a dishwasher in their system without getting help. The appliance department in Best Buy looks like someone went through and shoved everything into a pile. I saved the best store till last. The dishwasher I wanted was on display in the front of the store. The knowledgeable salesperson knew the price and answered my questions. Within a minute I knew the price here was better than any of the big box prices. I ordered my dishwasher on the spot. It was in stock, delivered, and installed at the date and time promised. Bravo!

We didn't even realize they sold appliances but when our old washer broke we called the owner, Mike, and he professionally told us that it wouldn't be worth repairing such old equipment. We bought a new washer and dryer pair from him at very competitive prices and they were just installed by two young men (Alex and Christian) who were excellent. Efficient, helpful and polite. Will definitely buy future appliances from them.

All Appliances Parts & Service - I had a top control panel dishwasher, but the front panel is a lot better IMHO. This time I got the front panel.

I really wasn't ever going to do a review of this place, mostly because I want to keep it as my own…read morelittle secret, but that's just not fair of me. I have been going to this little shop on the lake - we call it "Sally Ann's" for years. No one understand why we go there, but I'll attempt to explain. For starters - the two girls at the counter - Diane and Doreen have become like family. We've shared dog stories, kid problems and basically just gotten to know two people that we wouldn't have ever met if we didn't make that first trip in. Secondly - with all the stress of today - it's great to be able to go somewhere and just rummage through stuff. It's sorta like a forever yard sale and the selections are endless. Sure you have to pick through a lot to find the steal, but every once in awhile - it just takes our minds off from everything else. It's amazing that if you just give it a shot - what you might find. PLUS - we donate everything we don't want or need right back to this location. We don't throw anything usable out or save it for our own yard sale. Instead - we meticulously record every item we donate and receive receipts, which turn out to save us huge on tax returns. From genuine coach purses - to really great knock offs - to New Religion Jeans, Anne Taylor - RL - Tommy - you name it - you might find it here. Yes - some clothes and some items should have been tossed out or used for rags - but that's the fun of it - picking through all that stuff. Sure you might have a load of laundry to wash - you just can't beat the price for grandchildren's play clothes or for those pants to mow the lawn in. How about that brand new pair of dress pants with that new shirt still with the tags. I'm sorry, but I like a bargain and I don't mind shopping around in a thrift store. For service, staff friendliness - this store would get 5 stars, however, it is very disorganized and not the cleanest of places - so I am dropping it down to 4 stars and hope no one shops here!

This place isn't just a Sewer's Choice - it's my choice too!…read more The owners of this business treat you fairly, friendly and professional. They knew their business inside and out and are not afraid to share that knowledge with you. Whether that knowledge is on sewing machines or a huge assortment of vacuum cleaners. If you want the real scoop on the pros and cons - go to the pros! We have purchased sewing machines, vacuum cleaners and chances are - we might be making our next outdoor furniture purchase here as well. The latest item you can find here is a large selection of Amish made furniture, which is made out of recycled materials - looks great, priced right and can withstand the wonderful winters of western NY. The place is a bit jammed up with items, but I'd rather have it jammed with merchandise then empty. We've also had them repair vacuums that we've picked up at thrifts stores and their repair service is good as well. So - don't just think this business is about sewing machines - because it's far more then that - and it's locally owned and operated by a real local family! They accept cash, credit and checks - there is PLENTY of parking too - and it is right next door to the bowling alley - so bring your shoes and play a game too! BTW - if you are from out of town - it's centrally located on the main strip where all the shopping and eating are! So plan to spend some time!
