Might be one of the most authentic dimsum places in Berlin... A huge variety of cantonese food/dimsum. The bbq pork was not that good and tasted weird and they didn't have egg yolk custard bun which is kind of sad. The pork bun was ok and most dimsums item like shrimp dumpling (hagaw) shumai (pork dumpling) and lomaigai (sticky rice in lotus leaf) and cheungfan were on point. We waited for almost an hour for food :( and the service was pretty bad ... So i dare say that this place is so damn authentic ... With so damn authentic chinese-style service, on par with the service you would get in China lol A bit pricey (we paid like €17) :( but we left super fulllll

As a half chinese person growing up in sweden, I'm incredible grateful for Aroma. The restaurant has a classic look to it. It's clean with BIG tables so you can bring all your friends. You can get Hong Kong styled food which isn't possible in a whole lot of European countries. This is the place to go to have dim sum. The food is decent. I don't care if it's home made or not. I'm just happy to be able to order sweet pork bun and eat Chinese breakfast at all. I've brought Chinese friends there and my mom, and they all liked it! The waiters are saints compared to e.g Good Friends. The service is good. They speak English, Cantonese and German. The menus are in Chinese, English and Russian and perhaps Thai. I don't remember. You won't be impressed if you come from London. London has by far the best Chinese food in Europe, but it's also much more expensive. The rest of Europe don't usually serve traditional Chinese food so this is the closest you can get to a decent Chinese breakfast in Berlin. The wan tan soups tastes great and they don't overcook it as every other Chinese restaurant in Berlin. They open at 12 so it's perfect to go there and relax and eat dim sum for a couple of hours. I love this place because it's the best Chinese restaurant in Berlin. I must warn you that some dumplings might be a little bigger than you're used to.

Phenomenal food and outstanding service. Large portions filled us up and the staff couldn't have been friendlier to foreigners. Great place!

Food came quickly and we finished it all off with a pot of Chinese tea.

This place is visited by 90% native Chinese people so you can just imagine how authentic it can be. Don't get fooled by the outside appearance. It's big inside and actually quite nice. What do I like: 1) Price - Food is cheap as hell for what you get. You normally pay at least 20% more and I am surprised given their location 2) Taste - It tastes great. Hands down! Yes I've had better food in the US or China but generally speaking wow this place is incredible. The water spinach, tofu in egg and boiling fish in oil is very authentic, tasty delicious 3) Service - you normally expect authentic Chinese places to be dirty and rude. Maybe it was because I am chinese but the service here was quick, nice and not as what I experienced at other places in Berlin. Who should come? 1) Lunch - Lunch menu is freaking cheap 2) Spicy - if you like the sichuan numbing spicy taste, this is yo he spot 3) cheap eats - great Chinese food for a good price 4) authentic food - no more words needed We will come more often!

Stop the world: there's finally an authentic restaurant in Berlin that whips up a proper Chinese…read morebreakfast. While there's a bit of a markup because we aren't in New York, San Francisco, or Los Angeles (read: hubs for good Chinese food), I think it's still worth stopping by this tiny little restaurant in Wilmersdorf over the weekend if you're craving some dim sum, baos, or youtiao. (It's conveniently located on four U-Bahn lines: the U1, U2, U3, and U9, so you don't really have much of an excuse.) Sadly, I wasn't able to order the xiao long bao because I no longer eat red meat -- what a time to live in Germany, right? -- but every other party in the room had at least one native Mandarin speaker who took the initiative to order xiao long bao for their tables. From my eavesdropping, they all seemed pretty pleased. I ordered a single youtiao (€1), a vegetable bun (€1.50), an order of four ha gow (€3.50), and a glass of hot homemade soy milk (€2.50). For those who aren't already familiar with Chinese cuisine, the menu lacks item descriptions and is a little barren. For example, the highlight of my meal was hands down the vegetable bao, but the menu only describes it as a "steamed bun" auf Deutsch. I don't think that does the savory combination of mushrooms, cabbage, and carrots justice. €1.50 is also a very reasonable price, seeing as a bao goes for $1.50-2 in San Francisco. The ha gow was a little pricier and a bit smaller than what it would've been in San Francisco, but there was still a decent amount of shrimp inside and it tasted delicious, so no complaints!
