I have been going to this liquor store for years (decades). I apologize for taking so long to do…read morethis but I need to express how much I love this place and the reasons why. Besides having great prices, the owners and the staff are amazing! They are always friendly, very informative and quick to share all the information that they have about the product. Tonight, I was running errands and showed up late to make a purchase. Not knowing the store hours, I pulled up to the store a little after 7pm on a Sunday. I approached the store and noticed it was closed. I went back to my car and the owner of the store pulled up next to me, and told me to come inside to make my purchase. He disarmed the store and turned on the lights after hours just so I could make my purchase. In my opinion, that is going above and beyond and it's simply unheard of nowadays. People like this need to be supported. They are why we need our mom and pop stores. I encourage everyone to patronize Discount Liquors. You will not only get all the information you need, you will get outstanding customer service and the personal touch needed from extremely professional and kind people. I love these guys and they will have my loyalty to the end. Make them your neighborhood liquor store. We need more places like this. Thank You for years of outstanding service.

So I've lived in this area for years and never thought to stop at this place until a friend of mine…read moretold me I had to about a year ago. Place looks tiny from the outside but once you walk in....wow. Place opens up and has a massive selection of craft beers along with at least half a dozen taps for growler fill-ups. Large walk-in fridge for the times when you need a cold one right away too. Center of the store currently has a bunch of wooden palates filled with 12 packs and bigger but he has been slowly (and continuing) moving these and replacing them with even more shelving for craft beer. He already has a ton of shelving filled with any type of beer you could want....yet he is still expanding the shelving to hold even more. Trust me, if you haven't been, just stop by one day just to see for yourself The guy John is the man, knows his beers quite well and looks out for your best interest. I like trying any and every type of beer so every time I walk in, I tell him the style I want to drink, and he racks off a couple of suggestions he feels I would like with details of each beer too. He even tells me when a particular beer is not worth the price and provides similar alternatives to get more bang for my buck. He also gets his hands on some very rare beers (like only a case for the store) so if you treat him well, he will do the same. I've gotten my hands on some amazing beers from him such as Bourbon Bounty Barleywine, Bourbon County Coffee Stout, and KBS to name a few. Also, he was able to make a call and get me a case of a retired beer I was looking for...and in the end, he was able to get 2 cases (one was a 2011 and other 2012) and mixed it up so I had a few 4 packs of each. Simply awesome! Overall, this place is a really good find. I highly recommend just stopping in to see it. I mean, whats the worst that can happen....you find nothing new and exciting and end up buying your "go-to" 6 pack (because I know he'll have it).

I went in for a bottle of Juan Gil 18 Meses which they didn't have (It was a shot in the dark anyway, I've only seen it in stores once and it was the last bottle). I ended up with a bottle of Saldo by Orin Swift, the same wine maker as The Prisoner and E(and F and CA etc.) Amazing. The only thing that kind of got to me was the counter help. When I originally asked if they carried the bottle, the counter clerk took a bit too long to stop scrolling through Instagram or what ever app it was to look up and make eye contact. Maybe I should have FB messaged to ask instead.
