No longer 21 burgers or milkshakes. 6 burgers and no shakes is more like it. Ordered the baby back ribs and pulled pork sandwich, girls got burgers. Burgers was reported as "ok".... My youngest says Hardee's is better. Baked beans is really good and potato salad is good. Ribs are ok...not great. They don't have French fries. Very limited menu. Waitress was very nice and meal was brought out quickly. But flavor was just not there. They do have a small gift shop. C- read more

One of the worst! Half the menu isn't available . The didn't have a fryer even! The portions were tiny and each side cost was outrageous! The pulled pork sandwich was not much larger then a slider and they toasted the bun on the grill UNDER A WEIGHT! It made the bun 1/2" thick and hard! WTF it had about 1/4 cup of meat and half of that was fat! Just horrible food! I thought I would give it a second try a couple weeks later to see if they went to the store to provide what's on their menu. They did not, still didn't have half the listed food and I choose something new this time...wow wish I had went ANYWHERE else! read more

The service was 5*. The burger meat was 4*. The flavor was 2.5*. The bun was 2*. (Mine was a bit too toasted, cut my gum.) The mashed potatoes had decent flavor but were barely lukewarm and we're very dry. 2* (a pat of butter would have helped, had they been warm enough to melt butter.) The sweet tea was old and should have been tossed--i was there right before close, but she could have just said they were out. 1* The milkshake was mostly milk, very little shake. 3.5* The kitsch was 5* of fun. Little piggy deserves 5* -- I happened to be there when he/she was given some lettuce. The little piggy noises were freaking adorable. This place caught my eye when I stopped to fuel up. Burger joint and morel? What? Cute idea. It's in the W@l*mart parking lot, behind S oni c drive-in. I had planned to grab a burger at S oni c (deliberately misspelled so hopefully it doesn't come up in search), so this seemed like a better idea. Word of warning: the rooms are $79+tax each and although I didn't see inside, seem pretty crowded into the space they're at. Plus, as I mentioned, in the W@l*mart parking lot. Not sure how noise-proofed they are. They do have definitely parking spaces for the three rooms I saw that were available. Despite the mediocre did experience, I'm willing to try again if I'm back in the area at mealtime. I know I got there right before close (but I ordered, ate, paid, explored, and left before the other table of customers that was already seated when I walked in were even halfway through their meals). I asked if it was ok to come in and order though, and she said yes. She could have told me the kitchen was already closed if she didn't want to serve me. read more

What a darling place! Love their little gift shop with reasonable prices. I have the Pineapple Hickory Burger and it was delicious! The green beans, baked beans, and Little baked potatoes were all delicious. The pulled pork was good, too. My daughter had the chicken on a stick and gobbled it down! read more

What a wonderful change of pace from the fast food drab in this part of the Ozarks!! I asked our server what was good and she said that all 21 varieties of the burgers were great, but that the pulled pork burrito was her curse. And oh was she right. Great pick. My friend had the maple cinnamon hickory burger which was tasty and dry. I'll stick to my burrito. We split a snickerdoodle handmade milkshake for dessert which was fun and different but not the kind of creamy goodness to write home about. After I finished my meal I realized that the whole thing had been white. From the creamy mashed potatoes, to the burrito, to the white Styrofoam plate it was served on. Then the shake and another Styrofoam container. While everything was tasty it was not exactly appealing to the eye. Clean and friendly restaurant. Overall really good experience. read more

Arnold's BBQ & Grill - Barbeque Near Me - Mountain View, Missouri

This is a road-house feeling, shamelessly self-promoting, quirky and GOOD bit of local flavor in the heart of the Ozarks. So why the knock of one star? No bacon offered for the burgers... 21 types of burgers - no bacon. My Blue Cheese Burger was very good. But it would have been better with bacon. That - and as you can see in my photo, the green beans as a side were nothing to get excited about. Sauteed fresh haricot verts or even plain American green beans aren't difficult to find, and are easily sauteed in minutes. EVEN SO: I concur 100% with the prior reviews: Make this place a lunchtime oasis on your long cross-state journey in the Ozarks, or if you happen to live in the area. You won't be disappointed. read more

Very cute burger place and country decor. The food and variety is good, and portions are medium. The cinnamon maple burger is so yummy for the adventerous. It sounds weird, but it was very tasty. They have a big gift shop, too. read more

Great burger. Fresh cooked and flavorful. Downside they don't have a fryer so no French fries. Not a huge offering of sides. Mint shake was just okay. Service was very good and restaurant very clean. If you are in the area I would recommend. read more

No fries! ??? The meat tastes like charbroiled meatloaf! It for sure isn't 100% beef! The "sandwich" had a messy drip and it wasn't from the meat..... we ate them but everyone agreed Wendy's would had been better. read more

Arnolds is a barbecue and burger restaurant built out of 1 bay of a car wash off US60. The interior is clean and basic (we had been driving for 4 hours and needed a bathroom break - the bathroom was spotless). I'm not much for words so pardon the brevity. This place is simple and awesome, and deserves a review as such. The food was terrific. I had pork tenderloin on a skewer, beans and slaw and my friend had the ribs. If you happen to find yourself in the middle of Missouri on US60, in need of a meal, alter your plans to stop at this joint. You will not be sorry. read more

We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness & ambiance. I had the apple butter burger and it was delicious. Hubs had the horsey burger (horseradish), he said it was good but nothing special. Both burgers were juicy & the grilled bun is a nice touch. We weren't impressed with the mashed potatoes but they were ok. (No fries here!) They even have a live pig on the premises...Barbie Q is cute & likes to put on a little show. I'm sure she's a hit with the kiddos. The restroom was spotless, another plus. read more

Well...we wanted to love it, but we couldn't. I'm not quite sure what changed since the last time we were here, but the food was not good. I had a burger and mashed potatoes- fries are not an option, so that takes some adjusting. My burger was clearly just a microwaved patty. My bun was soaking wet- not sure why. The mashed potatoes were clearly microwaved as well. Our server was kind of friendly- but not really. She seemed very put out with my questions about the menu. My daughter ordered ribs- they were good but there's no sauce on them, so they were dry and you had to dip the meat into a tiny cup of sauce. We have eaten here in the past and loved it, but I was very disappointed in our food. The burger and wet bun were barely edible. I'm not a fan of a microwaved meal. I can do that at home. The best part was Clover, the pet pig. She was super cute! Unfortunately, we won't go back. I can't stomach paying for that grade of food again. Bummed for sure. read more

Service was good, with a smile. The decor in the restaurant was fantastic smell that brought us in was even better. Unfortunately that was where the enjoyment ended. I ordered the whole pork plate expecting good Missouri barbecue what I got was damp shredded pork with instant mashed potatoes that taste like they came from a can. I had great expectations, The restaurant Is positioned behind McDonald's. Rather than send the 20 dollars on the lack luster meal just save your money and go to McDonald's. read more

Like the name suggests, 21 types of burgers and 21 kinds of shakes. They also serve pulled pork and other meats. The hamburgers are thick, juicy, and served on a crusty roll. The menu warns that they don't need ketchup or mustard, and they are right. The burger meals are around $5.99 ( more for some ingredients) and come with a side. Our favorite was the charbroiled potato patty, which was a hashbrown patty basted with barbeque sauce and grilled. Even better than it sounds! Easy to find because they are on Hwy 60 in the Walmart parking lot attached to a car wash. The restaurant and restroom are very clean. When we got back in the car to continue our trip, I said to my husband, " We will come back this way on the return trip." He said "I was thinking the same thing." read more

Traveling through and stopped for lunch. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich meal and I had the loaded pulled pork nachos. The meat was very tender and the sauce was very tasty. The only thing missing from my nachos were some jalapeños. read more

Stopped in Mountain View on the way Home today for lunch and Arnold's caught my eye . Decided on a Hickory Pineapple Burger , which was juicy and flavorful , and a side of baked beans which were good . The bun was toasted and homemade , I think , with some spices on top . This was the first hamburger in a while that I did not add condiments to wolf it down lol .. Overall , a pretty good lunch for around 9 dollars (drink included) .. Can't wait for the next trip through Mountain View .. read more

My family stopped here while traveling through southern Missouri on our way to Arkansas. The choices of dining establishments on this route are very few and far between. We had an enjoyable lunch. The kids enjoyed their hamburgers. I ordered the jalapeño burger and my wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich. The food was fresh and tasted good and the service was very friendly. Nothing fancy here but a nice alternative to the fast food restaurants nearby. read more

My wife and I stopped on our way through southern Missouri. At 11:30am, we were the only people there. (This should have warned us.) The menu read - the food delivery will take a few minutes since the burgers are freshly made. Ours came out in 5 minutes and were overcooked - obviously not freshly made. The meat had a sweat seasoning that we didn't enjoy. My wife had the Blue Cheese burger, but it lacked real blue cheese. It did have blue cheese salad dressing on it. We ordered a peanut butter milkshake and thought it was average. On a positive note, the place is decorated very nice and the waitstaff was a great lady who was eager to make our visit enjoyable. I would try this place again if ever in the area - Just to make sure they weren't having a bad day in the kitchen on our first visit. read more

This place was a blast! They have a baby pet pig. Clover was adorable! The food is very good it is known for great burgers and shakes. The bbq is good as well the potato salad is very good.We had great service and the gentleman was great to our kids and let them pet the pig. read more

A burger place with NO fries??? The burger was actually good. Service was good. Place was clean. Price was good.

The burgers were pretty good but that was it. The garlic mashed potatoes were luke warm and you couldn't taste any garlic in them. My kids were very unhappy with their meals, my son said the hotdog tasted like it was out of a crockpot. My other son had the chicken nuggets and those were luke warm, about the size of half dollars, and looked a bit grey, definitely the worst I've ever seen. I also did not expect to be eating off of styrofoam plates. The service was good and the pig was cute but I will never eat here again. Disappointed that the good reviews led me here. read more

This restaurant is full of Oddities. Although it was super clean and the server was friendly the food was okay. First of all they listed 21 available hamburgers. However no listing of what came on the burgers, just the name. It's a barbecue place / hamburger place, but they don't serve french fries. There's a live pig in the front part of the dining room. I asked for a basic cheeseburger, and the server said all they had was mild cheddar not American cheese. Of course that's what American cheese is. Mild cheddar. read more

Not only do they have a live pig in the establishment, they have no french fries or ANY fried food for that matter. The food is mediocre at best and the portion sizes are small. They took the best thing on the menu (Steak on a stick) off and they only have sandwiches. Would not recommend to anyone. read more

Saw this place from the road and just st had to stop in. Unfortunately we couldn't dine in. We got to meet the man himself "Arnold"! Great guy! He introduced us to their mascot "Clover" the potbelly pig. Anyway, the food was great. I ordered the pulled pork plate with two sides. It was about $10 which is comparable to most BBQ restaurants. My daughter got the Garlic burger wrap and said it was great. If your ever traveling through the Missouri boot heal I definitely recommend this place. Thanks Arnold and Clover! read more

Where are minus stars! Here's your sign ask for lemons for water they have lemon juice. No bbq on tables or mustard/ketchup you get packets. Order baked beans and you get a spoonful of what looks & tastes like Bushes canned beans. "Hickory " burger was pre cooked and basted in maybe Hickory Smoke??? No fries on menu I would say RUN or keep on driving past this place!!! read more

Great local kitchy BBQ place including live piglet in his stall! Very clean nice interesting oak (I think) tables and chairs. Had a 1/2 rack of baby back ribs...delicious, tasty, tender, and smoky. Arrived in MV a bit late and Arnold's closed at 8. We arrived at 7:58... Told the young lady at the register our plight (on a BBQ/Motorcycle trip) and she said "Let me see what I can do" and she returned to tell us that all she had left was ribs, whoa is me...lol We grabbed a small table and started to tear into some of the tastiest ribs that I have ever had ( I could have been a bit hungry also). The tea and sides were tasty also. I plan on returning for a bigger plate on a future trip. read more

Taking cross county on the motorcycle and stopped here for lunch. The pulled pork sandwich wad really good. What made this place stand out for me was the owner. a friend traveling with us left their purse, and didn't realize it for a couple hours. We called the restaurant and the owner got information for our next stop. He Express mailed the purse, and paid for it himself. read more

Just a stop off the road but excellent good and clover the pigs cool! Great favor ave customer service definitely recommend it!

Driving through southern Missouri and, as always, checked yelp for a non-chain restaurant. Had the loaded pulled pork burrito w sour cream, guacamole, salsa and cheese. Delish!!!! Husband had pulled pork sandwich. Said it was the best he had ever eaten. Win win. PLUS they have a live piglet named "clover" in the entrance. Plus you can buy a tee shirt that says, I found the four foot clover at Arnold's. Don't know how they manage to have a live pig in the restaurant, but it is really cute and there's no smell! read more

I hoped to see the pig but seems like she was gone. The food was good but the mashed potatoes were tepid, tasty but not very hot. I had the pulled pork plate and darn near hurt myself, even though it didn't look like much at first. I suspect the baked beans were from a can, which is a little disappointing. I will be back to try the burgers. Looks like that's where they do something really special. My husband loved the coleslaw, it was extremely creamy and sweet. read more

Great place to stay! Clean and lots of clean linens. Helpful, friendly staff too. When I called they were actually closed for the night and Mia was so kind to wait for us. The chicken sandwich with grilled pineapple was very tasty. Service was friendly and helpful. Also, food came out quickly. Restaurant very rustic but clean. Only drawback is small portions, thus no food wasted read more

What a fun place! On a road trip with two kids we pulled in here and were so glad we did! My husband loved the hickory pineapple burger and I was pleased with my pulled pork sandwich. The kids had hot dog kids meals with chocolate shakes and they ate really well. The main attraction for the kids, though, was Barbie Q. They had a cute little pig! Highly recommend for the food AND the fun! read more

We loved the sandwich es and the ribs. We loved the pig in the of the restaurant too! She was really cute

Don't waste your time or money. This was the worst 'restaraunt' food we have ever tasted. We could not even finish eating because it was so dry. We have had better barbecue out of a box from SAMs club. The fries were frozen generic fries and the beans were canned pork and beans. There was nothing barbecue about it. The ribs were pale grey with no smoke. Save your money. Go to Sonic or McDonald. read more

Two issues, the live pig in the front of the restaurant and no bacon available to put on the burgers. How can you offer 21 burgers and not have bacon available? No French fries or onion rings either. Stopped with my family during a day trip and I ended up having one of the worst burgers of my life. The meat on the hickory burger tasted old and over smoked ( I suspect to cover the flavor.) It was also spongy and of low quality. The bun was straight out of the refrigerator and not toasted.I seem to have missed the fries that at least on reviewer ate. I ended up with some Ruffles. My wife said that the teriyaki on her burger helped cover the old taste of the meat and my sons did like the pulled pork. The baked beans were straight out of a can. I think that the owners should have spent more money on their food and less on the decor. I do need to note that the staff were very nice and pleasant. read more
