One of the worst! Half the menu isn't available . The didn't have a fryer even! The portions were tiny and each side cost was outrageous! The pulled pork sandwich was not much larger then a slider and they toasted the bun on the grill UNDER A WEIGHT! It made the bun 1/2" thick and hard! WTF it had about 1/4 cup of meat and half of that was fat! Just horrible food! I thought I would give it a second try a couple weeks later to see if they went to the store to provide what's on their menu. The service was 5*. The burger meat was 4*. The flavor was 2.5*. The bun was 2*. (Mine was a bit too toasted, cut my gum.) The mashed potatoes had decent flavor but were barely lukewarm and we're very dry. 2* (a pat of butter would have helped, had they been warm enough to melt butter.) The sweet tea was old and should have been tossed--i was there right before close, but she could have just said they were out. 1* The milkshake was mostly milk, very little shake. 3.5* The kitsch was 5* of fun. Word of warning: the rooms are $79+tax each and although I didn't see inside, seem pretty crowded into the space they're at. Plus, as I mentioned, in the W@l*mart parking lot. Not sure how noise-proofed they are. They do have definitely parking spaces for the three rooms I saw that were available. Despite the mediocre did experience, I'm willing to try again if I'm back in the area at mealtime. I know I got there right before close (but I ordered, ate, paid, explored, and left before the other table of customers that was already seated when I walked in were even halfway through their meals). What a darling place! Love their little gift shop with reasonable prices. I have the Pineapple Hickory Burger and it was delicious! What a wonderful change of pace from the fast food drab in this part of the Ozarks!! I asked our server what was good and she said that all 21 varieties of the burgers were great, but that the pulled pork burrito was her curse. And oh was she right. Great pick. My friend had the maple cinnamon hickory burger which was tasty and dry. I'll stick to my burrito. We split a snickerdoodle handmade milkshake for dessert which was fun and different but not the kind of creamy goodness to write home about. After I finished my meal I realized that the whole thing had been white. From the creamy mashed potatoes, to the burrito, to the white Styrofoam plate it was served on. Then the shake and another Styrofoam container. While everything was tasty it was not exactly appealing to the eye. Clean and friendly restaurant. Overall really good experience. read more

No bacon offered for the burgers... 21 types of burgers - no bacon. My Blue Cheese Burger was very good. But it would have been better with bacon. That - and as you can see in my photo, the green beans as a side were nothing to get excited about. Sauteed fresh haricot verts or even plain American green beans aren't difficult to find, and are easily sauteed in minutes. Stopped in Mountain View on the way Home today for lunch and Arnold's caught my eye . Decided on a Hickory Pineapple Burger , which was juicy and flavorful , and a side of baked beans which were good . The bun was toasted and homemade , I think , with some spices on top . This was the first hamburger in a while that I did not add condiments to wolf it down lol .. Overall , a pretty good lunch for around 9 dollars (drink included) .. Well...we wanted to love it, but we couldn't. I'm not quite sure what changed since the last time we were here, but the food was not good. I had a burger and mashed potatoes- fries are not an option, so that takes some adjusting. My burger was clearly just a microwaved patty. My bun was soaking wet- not sure why. The mashed potatoes were clearly microwaved as well. Our server was kind of friendly- but not really. She seemed very put out with my questions about the menu. My daughter ordered ribs- they were good but there's no sauce on them, so they were dry and you had to dip the meat into a tiny cup of sauce. We have eaten here in the past and loved it, but I was very disappointed in our food. The burger and wet bun were barely edible. I'm not a fan of a microwaved meal. I can do that at home. The interior is clean and basic (we had been driving for 4 hours and needed a bathroom break - the bathroom was spotless). I'm not much for words so pardon the brevity. This place is simple and awesome, and deserves a review as such. The food was terrific. I had pork tenderloin on a skewer, beans and slaw and my friend had the ribs. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness & ambiance. I had the apple butter burger and it was delicious. Hubs had the horsey burger (horseradish), he said it was good but nothing special. Both burgers were juicy & the grilled bun is a nice touch. We weren't impressed with the mashed potatoes but they were ok. (No fries here!) Like the name suggests, 21 types of burgers and 21 kinds of shakes. They also serve pulled pork and other meats. The hamburgers are thick, juicy, and served on a crusty roll. The menu warns that they don't need ketchup or mustard, and they are right. The burger meals are around $5.99 ( more for some ingredients) and come with a side. Our favorite was the charbroiled potato patty, which was a hashbrown patty basted with barbeque sauce and grilled. Even better than it sounds! Easy to find because they are on Hwy 60 in the Walmart parking lot attached to a car wash. The restaurant and restroom are very clean. My family stopped here while traveling through southern Missouri on our way to Arkansas. The choices of dining establishments on this route are very few and far between. We had an enjoyable lunch. My wife and I stopped on our way through southern Missouri. At 11:30am, we were the only people there. (This should have warned us.) The menu read - the food delivery will take a few minutes since the burgers are freshly made. Ours came out in 5 minutes and were overcooked - obviously not freshly made. The meat had a sweat seasoning that we didn't enjoy. My wife had the Blue Cheese burger, but it lacked real blue cheese. It did have blue cheese salad dressing on it. We ordered a peanut butter milkshake and thought it was average. On a positive note, the place is decorated very nice and the waitstaff was a great lady who was eager to make our visit enjoyable. I would try this place again if ever in the area - Just to make sure they weren't having a bad day in the kitchen on our first visit. read more

The burgers were pretty good but that was it. The garlic mashed potatoes were luke warm and you couldn't taste any garlic in them. My kids were very unhappy with their meals, my son said the hotdog tasted like it was out of a crockpot. My other son had the chicken nuggets and those were luke warm, about the size of half dollars, and looked a bit grey, definitely the worst I've ever seen. I also did not expect to be eating off of styrofoam plates. The service was good and the pig was cute but I will never eat here again. Disappointed that the good reviews led me here. read more

However no listing of what came on the burgers, just the name. It's a barbecue place / hamburger place, but they don't serve french fries. There's a live pig in the front part of the dining room. Saw this place from the road and just st had to stop in. Unfortunately we couldn't dine in. We got to meet the man himself "Arnold"! Great guy! He introduced us to their mascot "Clover" the potbelly pig. Anyway, the food was great. I ordered the pulled pork plate with two sides. It was about $10 which is comparable to most BBQ restaurants. Where are minus stars! Here's your sign ask for lemons for water they have lemon juice. No bbq on tables or mustard/ketchup you get packets. Arrived in MV a bit late and Arnold's closed at 8. We arrived at 7:58... Told the young lady at the register our plight (on a BBQ/Motorcycle trip) and she said "Let me see what I can do" and she returned to tell us that all she had left was ribs, whoa is me...lol We grabbed a small table and started to tear into some of the tastiest ribs that I have ever had ( I could have been a bit hungry also). What made this place stand out for me was the owner. a friend traveling with us left their purse, and didn't realize it for a couple hours. Husband had pulled pork sandwich. Said it was the best he had ever eaten. Win win. PLUS they have a live piglet named "clover" in the entrance. Plus you can buy a tee shirt that says, I found the four foot clover at Arnold's. I hoped to see the pig but seems like she was gone. The food was good but the mashed potatoes were tepid, tasty but not very hot. I had the pulled pork plate and darn near hurt myself, even though it didn't look like much at first. I suspect the baked beans were from a can, which is a little disappointing. Don't waste your time or money. This was the worst 'restaraunt' food we have ever tasted. We could not even finish eating because it was so dry. We have had better barbecue out of a box from SAMs club. The fries were frozen generic fries and the beans were canned pork and beans. There was nothing barbecue about it. Stopped with my family during a day trip and I ended up having one of the worst burgers of my life. The meat on the hickory burger tasted old and over smoked ( I suspect to cover the flavor.) It was also spongy and of low quality. The bun was straight out of the refrigerator and not toasted.I seem to have missed the fries that at least on reviewer ate. I ended up with some Ruffles. My wife said that the teriyaki on her burger helped cover the old taste of the meat and my sons did like the pulled pork. The baked beans were straight out of a can. I think that the owners should have spent more money on their food and less on the decor. I do need to note that the staff were very nice and pleasant. read more
