When I needed help the most in a crisis, they abandoned me. I told them I was suicidal and my…read moreplan. Dr. Byrd and Scotty Lusk sent me home. Then they wondered why 3 days later I attempted suicide. After that, they discharged me from the practice and had law enforcement serve me with a trespass warning. Was that really necessary? I should have sued them for malpractice. In 10 years there, I had never told them I was so suicidal that I had a plan. I wasn't thinking straight enough to make good decisions, so I didnt want to go to the hospital. They should have Baker Acted me....not send me home. They never even called to check on me. I guess they are used to getting away with this sort of thing. One day they are going to get sued and the patients family will put them out of business. What ever happened to the portion of The Original Hippocratic Oath that says, "...I will do no harm or injustice to them"? Dr. Byrd and his entire practice should be shut down, in my opinion. I pray to God that no other patient has to suffer thru something like this.

I am normally not a person to leave reviews but I feel like this one had to be said…read more I recently went to my first appointment with Dr. Clark through video call and it was one of the most unpleasant experiences I've ever had. This was my first time seeking a therapist and now I feel as though I may not again. She started off our meeting by telling me all the people who have died from eating disorders and gave me all the gruesome details. She then told me that I could continue eating three pieces of lettuce a day and eventually die. This doctor is not only extremely rude and condescending but a danger to those that are mentally ill. Please do not waste your time and money visiting Dr. Clark.

Some people like myself need someone who doesn't sugar coat everything. She tells you straight up. I think this is from working with military vets with PTSD and anger issues. She saw right through my boyfriend within 20 minutes she diagnosed him to the letter. He was a Narcisist with horrible anger issues a paraplegic that never dealt with his anger. She told me to run not walk. I did not fully understand at the time what narcissism is but I certainly do now. I should have listened to her and regret not doing so. This is why I am now returning ti her. She genuinely wants you to get better and be whole again. She always showed me compassion too when I needed it and encouraged me to get out and be productive. Virginia is one of a kind. I have been to several other psychologist but Virginia is the only one who made me really work on myself and I know she will again.
