For my cat that needs monthly injections and travels very poorly, they make a house call. It's pricey but you're truly getting what you pay for here. Pete is a year old now and confident around dogs of all sizes! His good socialization is due in part to Indy Hound's care. The dogs are able to play with each other and the staff from 7a-7p before being kenneled for the night. Pete has always come home happy (and TIRED which says a lot because Bostons have lots of energy). The staff are amazing, know us and Pete well, and he gets excited to go in when we get there. The peace of mind that he's well taken care of while we are away is priceless, but Indy Hound's prices are also affordable, and they have add on services like baths and nail trims, which is very convenient. This is definitely the best place to take your dog for daycare or boarding in downtown Indy.

The basic exam that they do couldn't take longer than 30 seconds because all 3 of our cats were in and out in less than 5 minutes. They all received vaccines and had the brief exam done within that timeframe. The checking out process took much longer. Following COVID and the protocols that changed, I just don't feel like things ever got "back to normal." I understand that this is an animal care facility, but it was truly disgusting and especially rank the day that we went in there. I would hope that someone mops daily, but the floor looked like it had definitely not been cleaned in a week. The nature of the business is likely to explain the mess, but some efforts to air the place out a bit would be appreciated. The staff are all really friendly and the cost, though it has gone up steadily over the years, is still the most affordable that I've found. You simply cannot beat a good deal on the necessities.

We dropped her off and then got called shortly after to see if we could come back and be with Nova while they sedate her. They said they would rather have us there to calm her down than to put a muzzle on her which I really appreciated. She's normally anxious around new people and when we went to pick her up she seemed completely okay. I was very nervous as this was her first vet visit (with us at least) and I couldn't be happier. We're going to monitor Nova over the next couple weeks to make sure everything goes smoothly. Other than that, I definitely recommend coming here.
