This is a small clinic but it will care for just about any need you have. NOT emergency room Call 911. If you need something more extensive than they can provide, they will give you the guidance to get the care you need. The staff is very capable and friendly. read more

Thank goodness I have not had the need to visit this place more than once or twice! Not that it is a bad place mind you. It is a medical clinic and I don't like having to visit a doctor any more than is needed. The only times I came here was when my regular doctor's office was closed and I needed some medical attention. There was a wait both times, but that is what should be expected at a medical clinic. The care I received was attentive and thorough. That is just what I expect from healthcare practitioners. read more

Requesting a new doctor after dealing with Ann Redford, NP. The front office staff is always very friendly and helpful but when it comes to seeing the doctors it's honestly one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I went into the clinic in severe pain in my foot and ankle only to be pushed out the door by my doctor. Ann Radford was cold and unwelcoming, not understanding or empathizing with the amount of pain I am in or even asking the simple questions as to what is going on. I was pushed out the door with very poorly placed wrap on my foot and essentially no help. This is my second encounter with Ann Radford and she is ZERO help and honesty a poor excuse for a doctor. read more

Came by the clinic for a blood draw on scheduled day open. Staff said that the person was not in today. that I can go across the road to Mark Twain Medical Clinic or Adventist Clinic in Angel's Camp. I had the blood draw at Mark Twain about july 15th; advised the nurse that results were needed at Arnold family clinic the next day for my appointment. The nurse said it would be faxed over in time. When I went for my lab consult the next day the results had not be faxed over. dr advised that I should not have gone across the road because they are very slow in sending results and that they are not an affiliated clinic as is Angels Camp Clinic. Given the choice of across the road vs 24 miles R/T - the choice was clear to me. Why had I been given two options by staff! read more

Complaint! 5/10/2017 8:30 Arnold, CA Clinic Arriving at the clinic, 8:30 AM, after fasting,I (among those in line) were told that there was no phlebotomist on duty, and none on call. The usual phlebotomist was sent to Angles Camp, no backup for Arnold. This is inexcusable. I don't call this good service. I have to have the test before my appointment, and just can't drop in any AM. I certainly hope this complaint gets to the correct manager who will see that this does not happen again read more

I can't sufficiently describe my disappointment and frustration in attempting to receive services from the Arnold Medical Clinic. I am consistently turned away at least 9 times out of 10, for routine services. I only get routine blood tests and poison oak shots and nothing more. When calling for an appointment, I'm told this service is "walk in only". Or I walk in and am told "no walk in's on Fridays" or "walk in's are ONLY on Fridays" or they are closed for lunch or the person for this service is not in today or something else. In other words, the reasons and rules change with every attempted visit. I am far better off going somewhere else that I can actually receive service and avoid the frustration and time wasted. read more

Today I attempted to take my son to see a Dr. at Arnold Medical Center after 4 days of coughing, sore throat, body aches, head aches, and high fever. When we arrived there was only one person in the waiting room. I waited at the counter for the receptionist to finish with her chit chat in the back (sign #2 they weren't too busy), she walked up to the counter and I got a "um, do even have an appointment?" I told her we did not, and then I attempted to explain he had a 102 temperature, it was then she rudely interrupted me and said I would have to take him to Angel's Camp Rapid Care. So instead of taking the 10 minutes to evaluate him she sent us 30 minutes and 2500' in elevation down the hill, And we all know what elevation changes due to you when you're sick. This young lady at the front desk should be fired immediately, her rude behavior her and personal attitude and her lack of compassion do not belong at a medical center. This girl is rude, disrespectful, and has zero compassion, her parents should be ashamed. read more

I am so thankful for these people today. I've been sick for quite some time, I called mid-morning, asking if they accepted walk-in patients, and yes, they do. The girl who answered the phone was friendly, told me when I should arrive, then greeted me with kindness when I arrived. I saw a nurse first, also with good patient skills, then saw Ann Radford, NP. She was compassionate, listened to my symptoms, asked me questions... ordered treatments and an X-ray, and explained why. She asked me to follow up with her on Friday (today is Monday) to see if I had improved. I felt like she cared and truly wanted to help me feel better. read more

Each time I visit this clinic, I've liked it less and less. The Dr. I have seen many times over many years doesn't ever seem to remember me. Nice. Last time she even asked "Who is your primary care physician?" to which I replied "YOU are!". She just looked at me blankly. And she seems less and less interested in my health issues, usually just asks me to schedule ANOTHER appointment, and has become more and more reluctant to refill the prescriptions she's given me many times before. She wants me to schedule ANOTHER appointment for those also. Sure. And today, I finally reached the point I'm DONE with them. I'm not often home in the area so cannot easily schedule an appointment. I was told by the clinic long ago that Fridays, starting at 1PM, they accept walk-ins. They even encouraged me to come in then since I couldn't get an earlier appointment. And that became the means I've been seeing the Dr. the past few years without a problem. So today I was there at 12PM, waiting next to the door to be first in line. When they opened at 1PM, I was greeted by a very tense and abrupt receptionist who I'd not seen before. (All the other receptionists they've had were great). She asked what I was there for, and then told me to take a seat. 30 minutes later she called me to the desk, and told me I would need to schedule an appointment to see the Dr. What went through my mind was... Was I not there for an appointment?! Did she think I'd come all the way down the mountain, waited an hour for them to open, and another half hour only to be told to schedule an APPOINTMENT, and get turned away?! And their next appointment was 2 weeks out. Seriously?! However, I was very pleasant with the receptionist at all times, but left confused and perturbed. As I drove home... having gone to all that effort, and having not seen the Dr., it bothered me more and more. So I called the clinic for an explanation and got the same surly receptionist. Yay. She told me I wasn't urgent, and they prioritize based on urgency. Then abruptly ended the call. What customer service!? She might have said that when I was there. I wasn't even given the option to wait until more urgent people had been treated. Basically I was given the bum's rush. This is no longer my clinic, she is no longer my primary care physician. I DID have to visit the Arnold Medical Clinic twice on Wednesday afternoon. First, we dropped in unannounced with my 73 y.o. mother who complained about being unable to walk and climb stairs. They took her medicare without hesitation and ruled-out a blood clot. Whew! I returned an hour later at closing time with my four-year old son, who crashed on my mother's gravel driveway as we were packing to leave for home. Again, without hesitation, the nurse practitioner and receptionist/nurse? attended to us without questions about insurance. Four stitches and quite a few tears later, we were finally on the road. I was relieved when my son fell asleep on the third curve down the highway. Thanks AMC! read more

my regular doctor's office was closed, so I made a same day appointment and still had to wait 1 hour; the staff is wonderful and caring; appointments are made through a central number, off-site, so they have no idea how the clinic's "that day" is going. I was told by receptionist that there was only one nurse shared between two PA's. Schedulers should know this important factor. read more

Since I live in Arnold and got hurt, I went to Arnold Medical Clinic. I fell backwards landing on my back and hitting the back of my head on a large rock. I split my scalp 2 1/2 inches and bleeding. I walked in and nobody was there. Nobody waiting or a receptionist. I said hello, hello then waited. I was trying to stop the bleeding with a towel while my shirt was soaking up the blood. 10 - 15 minutes later the receptionist came in. Said fill the form out and I'll see if the doctor "can see you." What? Nobody was there, why wouldn't she see me? A few minutes later a young lady came out and said doctor can't see you. Go to Mark Twain Hospital in San Andreas. Why? Said I might need a scan. Here I'm standing there trying to stop the bleeding on the back of my head, my shirt soaked with blood and Doctor won't even come out and look how badly Iv'e been hurt. How can a Medical Clinic help a community when they totally disregard the patient. read more

The attending physicians I've seen have ranged from minimal to good. But the staff is consistently terrible and they are whom you deal with the most. They (Pat, Trinity) are always too stressed to be professional or helpful. Twice in a row, they failed to call in a prescription as they said they would. I wasted an hour round trip the first time to pick up a prescription that had never been called in. Luckily I thought to call ahead the second time, and sure enough it hadn't been called in either. I was even told I would be called if there was a problem with them calling in the prescription, but of course wasn't. When I called in to politely inquire what happened, the excuse I got was a very terse "we're too busy!" and could tell the person saying that felt completely justtfied that was an acceptable answer. I'm fed up with the "we could not care less", "we're too busy" and "go somewhere else" attitude and utter lack of follow through with this hillbilly clinic. It is the only clinic within an hour of where I live, and they really act like they know that. I will not return as I've been let down too many times. I recommend making the drive to Angel's camp for better care, and more professional service. read more
