WARNING WARNING…read more For anyone thinking about buying a car from GLASGOW TRADE SALES I purchased a car from GLASGOW TRADE SALES on 14/2/18 with 3 months warranty! I have been trying to contact them since the 10/3/18 to report some problems I am experiencing. They hang up on me & don't return any calls when I leave messages. They also refuse to acknowledge or respond to emails. I now realise they have done this a lot to other customer's. After a bit of investigation on my part the warranty they claim to offer with "Warranty Wise" which you can clearly see advertised on all their current cars is a complete LIE. I have personally spoken to warranty wise and GLASGOW TRADE SALES are not an approved dealer of warranty wise and haven't been for 5/6 months now. They are liars and cheats please do not buy a car from them it's not worth the risk. Check out the reviews on Google and Auto Trader I wish I had before buying my car. All I can do now is warn others so they don't fall for the same lies I did. Please help me by sharing this with family and friends in the Glasgow area!

Recently bought a Kia Carens that turned out to have multiple issues. GTS do not answer calls or reply to emails or messages, I wonder why. I guess their 30 day warranty is worth about as much as their word. I have since had the car independently checked and the garage I use and trust are adamant the car should never have passed an not due to the brakes being defective among other issues. GTS never even bothered to fix the non existent handbrake despite falsely claiming too. Glasgow Trade sales will take your money then stick their fingers up at laughing you as you drive away. The matter is now in the hands of trading standards, VOSA and the police for the dodgy mot issued. Glasgow trade sales have f####d with the wrong guy this time. See you soon Dan!!!

I brought in a used Suzuki Swift, which I bought from Arnold Clark in Falkirk, for a "free" service one year after purchase. Arnold Clark Crow Road failed its MOT and quoted me over £500 for the necessary repairs - front suspensions bushes and a wheel bearing. The former a recurring issue with the car, which the Arnold Clark sales person assured me had been fixed when he sold me the car. My usual garage near the Honeywell plant in Newhouse where I work, V&G Carson Motor Engineers, quoted me £200 for the same work. After trying to sort things out with Arnold Clark and even writing to the CEO, the best they came up with after "reviewing the case" for 48 hours was a 50% discount which is still more expensive than my other quote. Not good enough boys. Needles to say, I took my car to the other garage who to my astonishment passed my suspension bushes. They assured me that the suspension bushes were nowhere near as bad as Arnold Clark had made them out to be and were a mere advisory point at worst. I paid £90 to have both my rear wheel bearings replaced and £40 for the MOT. Long story short, if you're thinking of bringing your car for a service in Arnold Clark, at least shop around first. As for me, I won't be seen anywhere near an Arnold Clark garage from now on. I even removed their yellow sticker from my rear windscreen. I may have fallen for the "free MOT" ploy once, but never again. So much for "offering genuine value for money" and creating "high levels of customer satisfaction".

Had to buy a new battery after 4 weeks due to the electrics running it down, had to get an inspector sent from finance company to check over the car who unfortunately did not find anything at that time even though everything was present. After a lot of money already spent and being told by this company that it's 'not their problem now' as I'd had it 4 weeks is just laughable. Now onto the 1st year Mot which cost £1500 needing glow plugs , new back box exhaust as the one on it had a massive hole in it even though I use it for domestic driving, not to mention the engine management and abs lights continually coming on. I have my local garage who has photos of underneath my car and diagnostics to back up it was a wreck before I touched it with wiring patched up appallingly, the whole underneath of this car and throughout the electrics were shot and this car had cost me in 1 year £10,000 with the £8000 car I traded in and the mot which I'm seeing nothing back for. worst of it is I still owe £10,000 for this heap of shit. DO NOT TOUCH THESE GUYS WITH A BARGEPOLE YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Not the kind of place you'll find yourself in unless your in the "i happen to have shit loads of money so go beat yourself with a stick if you can find one on the street you low life son of a mangy goat, now leave before i release the trained wilder beasts" bracket of earnings. For those amongst us whose first car was the same age if not older than them, then this is the type of joint that you will probably never set foot into, unless we win the lottery. So then, the best thing about This place is the wander by it. If, like me, you appreciate a nice motor and quite like a wee gawk at some nice old examples, then this is a good place and a great location for those who frequent the pubs in this area of town. Is there anything better (sadder) than having a few drinks, heading home with chips and cheese and standing (swaying) in front of a car show room for 10 minutes?? There is? oh. Anyway, got cash? fancy a nice old flashy car? Try this place out, just be careful not to knock the chips and cheese out of my hands as you drive away!!

The other was a lovely woman who was really "bend over backwards" to make sure we were happy. If you're after an Audi, and if you're not keen on the sales person you get here, I'd recommend asking to see someone else - they definitely do have good staff! They also don't complain (too much) if you drool on the R8.

Went off for two hours when I came back I was told that it has some necessary work needing done. Sent me a video showing a tyre and a break disc and said that all the tyres and break discs urgently needed replaced. I then informed them that the car passed it MOT at a garage 3 days before and surely they would have spotted these urgent repairs. The tyre are all actually within the legal limits and I was recommended to change just two tyres by the garage who did the MOT. This is a garage that specialises in tyres!!! Salesman's face was a picture and I was quickly given my keys back! Not all women are ignorant of cars or sales techniques from guys working on commission. Wont be back or recommending it to anyone.

The salesman showed us a Nissan Qashqai which met our requirements (so he said). Anyway when we collected the car there was no Sat nav and the salesman told us it's on order and it'll be there in a couple of weeks. Well months passed and contacted them again, then we were told these take 8 months to come from Nissan. (Got one on eBay next day delivery).... But thank you Reg Vardy. Still haven't received the one from you yet. Now, Couple of years later (now), my fiancé was complaining of the car sliding on the road often. I took the car to my local a garage for a MOT and service and I asked him to check the out as it's meant to be a 4 wheel drive. To our shock, we were told this car was not a 4 wheel drive, which we were told it was and that's why we purchased it. As you can see by this above, the company and the salespeople are just complete liars and they don't care about customers. How companies and people like this can actually sleep at night known they've lied and ripped off innocent people. Shame on these people and as a company, hopefully you won't get away with doing this to customers much longer. The more people who hear about the terrible practices in your company I hope more stay away.

On 4th January 2022, my wife was at work, her car fully locked, with no keys in the ignition, The lights and window wipers tuned themselves. When she went to the car, opened it, and put the keys in the ignition. The lights and window wipers turned off, and the car failed to start. In accrdance with her warranty, she called Peter Vardy who arranged for collection of the car that day,but couldn't look at it until a week later, (As they were that busy, ) Again in accordance with the warranty, she asked for a courtesy car (Which he warranty states is guarenteed), but they said they didn't have one, but said as soon as one is available its hers. Anyway, the recovery company came to collect the car. Before he took it, he did some initial fault finding diagnosis, He checked the battery and even try to Jump start it with his leads but to no avail. He then did further diagnostics in accordance with his report which we hold. He clearly stated that there was nothing wrong with the battery, and in his 30 years of experience, it is either the electrics or alternantor that has gone. The following week, my wife received a call from Peter Vardy, stating that they know what the probelm is. They said its not electrical, it needs a new battery which is not covered by the warranty and will be a cost to her of £230. After my wife got off the phone, she then searched her office and found the Recovery comapnies report, which clearly states that the battery was good. So, after spending 5 hours trying to get through to them, the only way to contact them was to go down. When went down there, we told them what the reovery drivers report said, They refused to believe it, they said that the battery was completely dead and thats why the car wont start and again he battery is not part of the warranty, so we agreed to pay. (Even though we stated that it a professional had stated it wasn't the battery). The next day my wife got a call from Peter Vardy, they told her that they had changed the battery but its still not working, they have ran further tests, and indeed the problem is he fuse pannel from which she requires a new one at a cost of £130 (Again not part of the waranty) So then we argued, so why are we being charged for a brand new battery, even though the professionals report stated the battery was good, and now your saying the problem lies with the fuse pannel. Anyway, they then agreed t waiver the fuse pannel charge and fit a new one, but still getting charged for the battery (That the car didn't need). A week later my wife got a call saying that they had changed the fuse pannel but the car still isn't working, they dont have an electrical expert within the Peter Vardy organsiation, so they are going to have to obtain one from an external sauce, at a cost of £80 an hour, billed to us. So as you can see, even though the warranty covers electrics, they have tried to charge us for everything else, And every diagnostic they have assure us it is. Isn't. We are now nearly 7 weeks still without our car, any correspondence. And yes even though the warranty guarentees it, We still haven't got a courtesy car because "There are still none available". Now people if you can tell me this is the kind of proffessional, customer services and honesty you expect from a dealership. Then knock yourselves out, but just be prepared for the warranty to not cover anything, spend hours on the phone and not get a call back, be told wrong infomation again that will cost you to fix, and you have more chance of winning the lottery than getting a courtesy car. Like i said "Peter Vardy, six month old car, warranty wont cover anything, no courtesy car and 7 weeks in and still no word". Its absolutely disgusting that they are allowed to opeate in this Manor. So again, i cant stress enough , KEEP AWAY, KEEP YOUR MONEY, and stay HAPPY.
