There are 2 things i would recommend from here. The first is the fish, they are always freshly done to order and if you can find a bigger, tastier fish then let me know and they are only £3, not bad value for lovely white cod. The second thing i want to mention is the duck, it cost £6.40 for half a duck and with that you get pancakes and sauce, hmm it is well worth it. The staff are extremely friendly and chatty always. They obviously offer the usual chinese chippy menu and the prices are similar to most other chippy's in the area, it's the portions and the service which sets this chippy apart from the rest. It does not open Tuesday's. I believe it opens for a couple of hours from about 11am and then it opens again at 5pm and shuts at 10pm. Just go and see how big the fish are, you will be amazed.

Grandma pollard also sells home made pies (none of that Hollands mush) and their own cakes,and even though we were incredibly stuffed from our fish feast we decided to get a couple of pies and a brick sized vanilla slice to take home with us,all of which were very nice,especially the vanilla slab!! I am now very happy because i've found a proper chippy that is not too far away from home,and at the end of the day that's what's important in life,a proper chippy!!
