Situated among forest tress, it provides a unique backdrop as we blast away paper targets. The high altitude did present a different dimension of challenge as we compete for a podium spot. Nevertheless, we had a great time here at this range and even surprised us with a 30 minute rogue hail / thunderstorm intermission. The staff of Jefferson State Shooting Association did a good job of hosting the '21 Sectionals. If there would be any critique with this range, at most I would say the the distance needed to travel from one set of bays to the other. Otherwise, we all had a great time here at the Bill Scholtes Sportsman Park and had a change to discover the Klamath Falls area to boot.

He signed me up for this class in hopes it would give me the confidence and understanding on how to properly use a hand gun. I was a little skeptical but went along with it. Liz, the instructor was so understanding and patient with me. She understood how big my fear of guns was and allowed me to go on my own pace. She never made me feel like my questions were dumb. She explained everything and made sure i understood it. I left that class with the understanding and confidence i was needing. It was my first time shooting Oregon Sectionals and I now know why USPSA shooters here in NorCal carry out our annual trek to southern Oregon for this match. Its just fun! The bays are just a dream: wooded lofty hills as your background and a clam pasture land behind, its just a pleasure shooting here in Jackson County Sports Park. Me and my friends shot the runoff schedule with the RO's and we seamlessly finished 9 stages in a day. I'm sure that Oregon Sectionals is always going to be in my annual competition shooting schedule.

They have great prices and when it comes to service after the sale you can't do better. As an example; bought a new EDC Glock 43x moa. The trigger was 7 pounds at the "wall". John the manager and Glock armorer installed a three spring kit at no charge that immediately dropped it to 4 pounds and gave it a cleaner break and a nice "floor". I love it. That also helped me get the first shot on target. Great prices, excellent service, friendly folks! Please pay no attention to those reviews left by "out of towners". Makes me question why they stopped by Welburns, but I doubt that they were there to buy anything.

Secondly i enquired about a specific pistol, which not only did they have, but they beat every other local gun shop anywhere from $15-40, and they didn't charge for the background check! Two of the competitors were a couple of the highest volume sporting goods sellers nationwide, you can likely guess who I might be referring to! Both employees, a manager and a young lady were courteous, highly professional and knowledgeable. It's a tiny little shop, but they have an excellent inventory, including some hard to find ammo. If you are in the Rogue Valley and haven't checked this place out yet, you are missing a winner

They at times have a good selection, but their prices are high, and while they claim to buy, sell,…read moretrade, they offer absolute lowball amounts in trade or sale. I recently was interested in trading some firearms, and the owners offer was bordering on an insult. Right after that offer, another store that I've dealt with often happily paid me twice what these clowns offered. While sometimes Good Guys has an interesting selection, their pricing methods and general business practices aren't really very good. Sometimes they just might have something I might need, but they will be a last resort here locally
