Curtis was incredible to work with. Patient, meticulous, and knowledgeable, Curtis combed over the home we were looking at for over three hours. When he noted an unusual electric panel setup, he said without qualifiers or handwaving that he was not sure what the implications of it were and would find out for us (which he did). Now that's a mark of true professionalism! After the inspection, he has been so available and so generous with us for follow up questions. I couldn't be happier with Curtis's inspection and am grateful to him and Lori for taking such good care of us. read more

Just want to give a quick update: I continue to be grateful that we chose Armored Home Inspections -- not just because they did a great inspection, but because they were also lovely people. Latest evidence: They emailed all their clients saying that they had a surplus of chicken eggs (they also have an alpaca farm!) and wanted to deliver some to their customers. (Contactless delivery, per COVID times.) I texted my wife: "Our home inspector is dropping off eggs for us tomorrow!" I really love our strange little corner of the world! read more

Couldn't have been happier with the service we got with Armored Home Inspections! Lori was super friendly and made our estimate and scheduling go so smoothly. And Chris, our inspector, was fantastic! He was positive but realistic, knowledgeable, and informative. Along with a thorough evaluation of the home's systems, he gave us advice on their upkeep and maintenance (very appreciated as we are new homeowners). Prices were fair and reports were timely and well-detailed. Would highly recommend Armored to our family & friends. Thanks again to all the staff! read more

Have now used Curtis twice. Each time he was incredibly thorough insightful and patient

Great inspection. Curtis is very personable and will explain EVERYTHING. The inspection comes with a free 3rd party estimator tool that will give you quotes for any needed repairs. This really helped me with my negations with the seller. I've already recommended him to a friend. read more

We are first time home buyers and we had a great experience with Armored Home Inspections. Our realtor recommended them and glad that she did. Stephen was our inspector and was great. We went through everything, and he took the time to explain and give his opinion on things. The report we received was nice and organized, along with all the pictures he took. After all was said and done I had a couple of questions which they really took the time to answer for me. I would definitely use again! read more

I can't recommend Curtis and his team higher enough! They were able to inspect our house quickly after we contacted them. (Lori even called us on a Sunday night to get us scheduled since we had a short inspection window!). Curtis and his team were prompt, professional, and thorough. They spend almost 3 hours on our small row home! Definitely use Armored Home Inspections!! read more

As a Real Estate Agent, it is always nice to work with other professionals in the field. Curtis had completed a home inspection for my client. We were both extremely impressed with Curtis during the inspection! My client is older, and Curtis took the time before leaving each room to ask if my client had any questions on the room before we went onto the next area. He was very polite and EXTREMELY through during the inspection! He answered questions for us, and pointed out items that we did not see while walking around. I highly recommend Armored Home Inspections to anyone who needs any type of inspection done on a home! Lori was fabulous to work with, also always very polite and so very helpful during the scheduling process, and had an awesome response time to emails sent in as well! This inspection was my 3rd home that Armored Home Inspections had done some sort of inspection on - and I am thrilled with them...will definitely use them again!! read more

Wouldn't use or recommend ever. Missed major obvious damage during home inspection. Called to let them know and what they say and do are two different things. Sorry I hired. This is my first home and I was so excited. I wished someone warned me not to hire them. Do yourself a favor and find someone else. read more

Curtis inspected two properties for us within a matter of a few months. His turnaround time with getting you your report is extremely quick as well. Great customer service when scheduling and very professional. Can't recommend his services enough! read more

Curtis was incredible. He is the most thorough home inspector I have come across through multiple property deals. Due to the faults in the house he was able to locate, including but not limited to internal and external piping, roof, plumbing, HVAC, wiring, and various other items my wife and I decided to back out of a purchase of a home. His work stopped us from spending an incalculable amount of money on a house that was visually appealing but rotten behind the scenes. Without his expertise we would have been unable to afford to save the house and live our lives. Best $750 I have ever spent. read more

I was very pleased with the entire process of dealing with Armored Home Inspections, LLC., from scheduling to prompt issuing of the report. Chris Villa was on time, professional, and had a good sense of what we needed in our situation. Our church owns a 100-year old house which is now vacant. We needed a full evaluation for budgeting purposes, and a realistic plan for renovations needed. The in-depth report was impressive and gave us the tools we need to move ahead and plan realistically. Thank-you Armored Home Inspections! read more

I used Curtis of Armored Home Inspections for a general inspection, wood infestation test, and radon test for a two-family investment property that I'm buying in Ardmore, PA. My experience with him was very positive. He came recommended to me by my boss, who bought a house in Haverford, and I would recommend him too. Curtis invited me to attend the inspection and I followed him around the property. The inspection was very thorough. He explained his findings to me as they occurred, and he answered my many questions completely. I had some follow up questions and he spent time with me on the phone discussing some of the issues that arose during the inspection. Curtis was a very nice person and he came off very knowledgable about his service. He was able to explain how to repair certain findings and the estimated cost for the repair. All in all, I couldn't have asked more from him and I plan to use him again shortly. After attending the inspection, I felt that I had a complete picture of the property's future maintenance schedule. If anyone wants to know more about my experiences or my review, feel free to message me through YELP. read more

Curtis and Lori just inspected my Philadelphia home while I was at work. I came home to find my door unlocked and most of my lights left on in the house. It is NOT ok to leave a person's house unlocked in the city of Philadelphia. Would not recommend! read more

I used Armored Home Inspections based on a recomendation from my agent. Mr Niles was amazing. He scheduled the inspection based around my free time, which was great. He showed up early, went through everything he saw with me, was very professional and very thorough. His report was very detailed and arrived 48 hours of the actual inspection. As a first time home buyer, he was excellent explaining to me what was what and just walking me through his entire process. I couldn't have asked for a smoother inspection and highly recommened Armored to anyone who going through the home buying process. read more

We hired Curtis from Armored Home Inspection at the suggestion of our realtor for a new home purchase. We could not have been more pleased with the customer service provided by Curtis and his wife Laurie. They were quick to respond to our requests, and very flexible with scheduling. When Curtis first came to the home, it wasn't finished enough to provide a proper inspection, so he offered to reschedule rather than waste both of our times on an incomplete inspection. The reschedule had to occur very close to our closing, but he was still able to get us the extremely detailed report in time. Curtis found a lot of things that I would never even have considered, and I feel much more confident in our home purchase after his inspection. We will definitely use Armored again for our future home inspection needs. read more

Buying our first home in PA has been a rather daunting task especially considering our last home purchase was back in 2002 in a much different part of the country. A lot has changed since then as you can imagine. Knowledge is power, when making a large investment in a home in which you can never have enough. When you want a knowledgable, comprehensive inspection with great service look no further!! Armored Home Inspections will give you all the details you need to make an informed decision on your property! I wouldn't buy a property without getting Curtis and his teams inside, outside, above and underneath look first!! Professional, friendly & dependable sums it up! I found them on Yelp and decided to give them a shot! So glad I did!! I recommend you do the same! read more

If you are purchasing a home and need an inspector I highly recommend Armored Home Inspections! My husband and I are on a time crunch, being that we decided to close on a house in 30 days and needed to find an inspector ASAP. Lori was so friendly and helpful scheduling us, especially since it was a holiday weekend. She was able to accommodate the day and time that worked for us, with only a couple days notice. Chris and Curtis both aided in the three inspections we required. Curtis completed the wood infestation inspection and was so nice to let us know the results and checked to see if we had any questions before he left. Chris did an outstanding job completing our general inspection. As he was going through the entire house while we were there he explained everything he was checking and any findings he had. He was so willing to answer all of our questions and gave us very valuable advice. He had a very detailed report sent over to us in less than 24 hours. Thank you Armored Home Inspections for such a great experience! read more

I used Armored Home Inspections, LLC for my home inspection. My agent recommended them based on her experience with another client. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Curtis was on time, professional, knowledgeable and most importantly very very thorough. I walked around with him during the inspection process and he pointed out so many things that I would not have known on my own. He took the time to explain everything recognizing I may have not been familiar with various areas he was inspecting. I highly recommend Armored Home Inspections and would use them again if needed in the future. He also provided the inspection report within a quick turnaround. Working with Curtis through our homebuying process has been a great experience. He is thorough and knowledgeable. He was willing to give us advice as nervous young first time homebuyers. He inspected the home as if he was the one who would be living there. He was available via phone for questions after the inspection. Lori is also great! We got out our reports so quickly after the inspection and she made the reports easy to read/understand. I would recommend everyone to use this company!!! read more

We hired Corwin Jackson to inspect a home we recently purchased in Center City on the advice of our realtor. Corwin was incredibly professional and very thorough, explaining each of his findings as he carried out the inspection process. He was also very prompt in delivering a detailed inspection report. All in all we could not be happier with Corwin's performance or the customer service of Armored Home Inspections. We definitely will be using them again! read more

My brother recommended Armored after observing Curtis inspect a home that our sister was purchasing. My brother was very impressed with how professional and tenacious Curtis was during the inspection. I subsequently put in an offer on a home a few months later and the first thing my brother said was "make sure you get the same guy that (our brother-in-law) used for their inspection. He was very good and did not miss a thing". Both our sister and brother-in-law agreed with him that Armored was fantastic. My brother-in-law then handed me one of Armored's business cards. I called a few days later and spoke with Lori. I specifically requested Curtis as my brother advised. Curtis and his crew came out a few days later and did an outstanding job. Not only did Armored's inspection help save me several thousand dollars on the home, but Lori even sent me a few complimentary copies of their comics. Curtis is an excellent inspector. Nothing failed to catch his eye. He captured every detail utilizing state-of-the-art equipment to document his findings along the way. As a result, I received a completed report in under 24 hrs. Lori was very pleasant each time we communicated and was an absolute joy to work with. Excellent business run by wonderful people and reasonable pricing to top it all off. I am completely and happily satisfied that I went with Armored. One of the best home buying decisions I've ever made. read more
