Dr. Kim was the surgeon, and i should have done more research on his actual experience with dermabrasion for acne scarring. The dermabrasion did absolutely NOTHING for my scars as he admitted he was too afraid to go deep because of my olive skin tone. It is 7 months later and i have to wear a HEAVY foundation in order to cover up the difference in pigmentation on my skin from where i had the surgery and where i didn't. Not only that, but my scars are completely unaffected. They look no better at all whatsoever. Now i still have my scars, plus a new problem of pigmentation. My skin looks horrible and i won't go anywhere without slathering on makeup. Its awful. I paid way too much for this surgery, as i found out that the average price for a dermabrasion in the syracuse area is only 1500 for a full face! Not only that, but on my follow up visits, he basically shrugged his shoulders and said he was sorry and that i could try fillers for $500 per syringe. It will be a cold day in hell before i give that practice another cent of my money. They have no clue what they are doing. Now i am looking for a new surgeon to fix my pigmentation issues and also that can actually perform a procedure that can give me some results when it comes to my scars.
