They're nestled in a loft building with a small but not cramped store that doubles as a sewing space, and my first time I didn't make an appointment, but they were super accommodating. They were out of bags and the person working there made me one on the spot, by hand. They are relaxed and easygoing but take the boutique experience seriously, and were very attentive and kind to me despite the fact I came in dressed like a teenage boy and not like a sophisticated adult woman who might buy a $200 bra. I initially came because I wanted to purchase some Bordelle pieces without ordering them online, but I ended up trying on things I wasn't expecting to. At no point did I feel pressured to like stuff, nor were they pushy about measuring me like lingerie stores often are. Their website gives a good idea of what their stock is like, so if you're someone who appreciates higher end lingerie and sleepwear, I would strongly recommend them.

They have an arts section I like, and good cooking magazines in French and English, and new literature and they keep perfect white Laphams Quaterlies neatly stacked. When fashion week comes they have the great big gorgeous season books in the back which I love to look at longingly but generally can't afford. I like the staff here too and the odd coffee table books piled around hoping you or I will take them home.

Large selection of magazines and some great looking cookbooks, but looked like a lot of them were in French. I didn't bother to ask about English versions. There were some cute Montreal souvenirs and gifts that were not cheesy. A nice assortment of notebooks and pens, even calligraphy pens and ink bottles! Old school. There was a great adult coloring kit that was on sale. I was so tempted but it was so heavy! I'll have to return when I have car access or one of those granny shopping rollerbags. There were some other random cute stuff like nail clippers shaped like a cat; tin pill boxes that actually looked cool, not like the ones you find at a pharmacy; and yes, there are great wooden toys. My favorite was the wooden espresso machine. How appropriately Little Italy.

They have an incredible selection of notebooks and notepads from international brands. They do offer fountain pens and inks, but you would probably have better luck with a specialty store such as stylo or wonderpens. The store is a beautiful, and the staff is extremely knowledgeable. I've almost exclusively bought my paper goods and notebooks from Nota Bene over the years and the service has always been impeccable. Their prices are slightly higher than what you might find online, but it's reasonable due to their overhead. This is a great stationery store, and you are sure to find something you like! Pro tip: If you are looking for a GREAT notebook, check out the notebooks by Midori. They are Japanese, fountain pen friendly, and really feel really nice in the hand. It will run you about $15, but it's well worth it!

It did take some time to inquire about admission at the desk as there was only one attendant working. We were visiting from Ottawa, and hold a Science museum pass, which gave us free admission here upon showing our membership and I.D. Otherwise, it would cost around $120.00 for the four of us (2 kids, 2 adults). Note that it is $25.00 for parking on site. We only saw two attendants throughout our whole time there. No staff on the floor. One to gain admission, and another to check out tickets further down. Both interactions with staff were to the point, and they were able to communicate in English. When we did get our tickets scanned for entry, we asked the attendant about food options on site (which was only a coffee shop, on the main floor). Interaction was very blunt, and to the point, and the attendant went back looking down at her phone. Super unprofessional. The museum itself was very interactive, but much smaller than I expected Maybe I missed parts of the museum, but we were able to get through within an hour. The kids seemed to have fun. It is definitely geared for kids to run around and explore. We did notice a slime room? but it was closed and locked up. There is a small playroom for ages 0-7 to roam safely. The museum was fine, but I would not run back.

The dinosaur section has a hands-on " paleontology " dig. The very wide screen display has dinosaur that seems to know someone is in front of them. Maybe it's my imagination, but I watched it for about 10 minutes, it would stalk me when I was right in front of it. Spooky. We enjoyed it. And, it's not our first museum visit.
