For those who are extremely hungry, want some down home Italian or are ready to start a marathon the next day there are huge servings! I had the Seafood pizza and it was absolutely delish with shrimp, mussels and scallops with onion in a cream sauce. The dough was light doughy and crispy. I ordered the smoked salmon sandwich, served in a crusty italian bun and dressed with a wasabi based dressing. This sandwich is responsible for changing the way I think about smoked salmon as an ingredient. The same can be said for wasabi. This sandwich was fresh and tasty the whole way through. The sauce was tasty and offered a mild burning sensation that begins at the pallet and exits the nose - a noteable trait of wasabi. My friends both ordered the Jack Daniels chicken pizza and both enjoyed it very much. Based off the bite I took, the toppings complimented each other well. The sauce added a level of smokiness, over the smokiness of the wood oven, that I enjoyed. Great pub if you are visiting Tadoussac. They are stocked with some tabletop games to keep busy with while it rains. The staff is great. Food is fantastic. I will forever remember Tadoussac as the place I ate a kickass smoked salmon sandwhich, and saw a whale!

It was also recommended by our Airbnb host as a place that uses local ingredients. I was lucky to get a reservation due to some last minute cancellation. At the restaurant, the chef (I believe it was the chef) came over to say that "looks like you were able to get a reservation" bc I had put my name on the waiting list. So do no that if you want to drink alcohol here that it's Bring Your Own Wine. The staff wasn't sure if we knew since we weren't locals and I think the chef offered us beer that he got for us. That was so nice but my husband didn't want to drink as he wanted to make sure he would be okay to drive and then make sure I'm ok because of my injured foot he declined. I do LOVE Aux Bienfaits, though, and they have incredible incredible cakes/desserts as well. They're usually pretty nice, but can get annoyed with you if you take too long to order or get confused. I have to give HIGH honors to their maple soft serve and their milk chocolate AND salted caramel chocolate coatings. Also here's a tip to get more chocolate: ask for your soft serve in a bowl, but ask for the size ice cream you want in a cup one size UP. This allows the soft serve to be fully coated with chocolate. If you don't want to ask for a cup, you can also ask for your cone double dipped.
