They have a lot of hands on activities the kids get to do and expect lots of fun arts and crafts being sent home. My kid loves it, and always talks about how much fun she had with Terri and Katie and Lourdes each time she comes home from school. All the teachers and staff there are amazing and keep you up to informed. Katie is one of my favorites, and keep us "in the know" with out us even asking. Wendy and Jo do an amazing job behind the scenes. I love that I get weekly emails about everything that's going on at the school and her class. If you are looking for a great school to call home ACORN is the place! They do have a wait list and going on a tour is a must. I recommend going online and check dates for the open house or call.

Bottom line, this school is different, and you are impacted by that as soon as you pull into the driveway. From the playground to the entrance, children are encouraged to play with their hands and truly experience learning. I just had an opportunity to attend a day fully dedicated to father and child (this was one of the most special events)! Thanks to the school and it's leaders/teachers who are so passionate about our children.

As a parent of 3 children, with one of them in school already, I needed a place for the other 2…read morewhile I was working. I couldn't leave them with my mother because she keeps herself busy and it would be hard for her trying to keep and eye on them and as she would put it, "They drive me up the wall!" That's o.k. though; I love my mother and I understand kids are kids and they do get into things. About 2 years ago she found this day care, Silver Spoon's Pre-School about My gathering from the kids are that they enjoy the place and a good part about it is my oldest child, who's already in school, gets picked up by Silver Spoon's from his school and they take him to the day care center. So all my 3 kids are being watched over while I'm still at work. My understanding is when my oldest child is brought to the day care center, he can finish his homework or he can play with the other children doing other types of learning activities. When I dealt with the staff in trying to enroll my kids they were professional and respectful. I really liked how they went over their policies with me and made me feel comfortable about leaving my kids their with them. An example of one of their policies is that "NO ONE" other than the parent they deal with can pick them up. So to me, even if my "ex" tries to pick them up claiming to be their father they will not let him take them and one of the employees will call me to verify any changes on picking up my kids and if they can't get a hold of me, well they'll just keep them their until I verify or until I pick them up. I love that! Overall; I love the that my kids enjoy this day care, because that's my number one priority. If they didn't like it I would have taken them out long time ago. Secondly, the employees are professional and informative. But I would have to say most importantly for me (my opinion), is the safety and security of my children. While I'm away from them and working, I know my kids are safe and being well taken care of by good employees and If ever they need to to contact me for any reason, I'm only a phone call away.

We were put on a waiting list in May to make sure he had a spot. At first, he had a really hard time adjusting to the new schedule. The staff there was helpful but not quick to over analyze the situation. They knew eventually, he would get used to it. He really has liked going the past couple of weeks. I love that they have a sand box and a puppet theater for the kids to play in. I also like that they take them on walks to different parts of the PAC campus. It is inexpensive compared to most day-cares I looked at. The only issue I have is that I still have to pay when school is shut down and the lunch menu changes on a whim. Those two things are very important to me.

The atmosphere was very friendly, but professional at the same time. I didn't get the opportunity to tour the place because it was during my lunch break & between classes when I dropped by to inquire. The kiddos of course are taking a nap- which I knew so I didn't bother asking for a tour. I just also wanted to know more about their services and to see how the staff are with providing answers with all my questions. The front desk staff were very customer service oriented and the director was more than happy to assist me with everything I needed. Ms. Alice Regala was very thorough and very pleasant to talked with and surely made me feel at ease to ask questions regarding how they provide child care. I came in there with so many questions in mind and I came out with more than I needed to know regarding childcare they provide. I will feel confident to put and register my child in this facility with such customer friendly and well informed staff- hoping that they will have a spot open when my husband and I decide to enroll our child.
