Employees were dusting away and tidying up. Such a beautiful and clean space. Very welcoming I was surprise to see multiple/separate restroom spaces for overflow. Very proactive and accommodating

Great visitor center with lots of displays, clean bathrooms and cool souvenirs. Welcome to "The Natural State" The Good: Clean bathrooms, easy to navigate, helpful staff The Bad: Nothing. Didn't spend enough time to experience anything bad The Ugly: My kids having to stop to go to the bathroom, but glad it was there!

The Natural State doesn't disappoint when you stop by at this welcome center and are welcomed by some of the warmest smiles. The desk attendants at the center were super kind and helpful and pointed us to all the right information we needed. There are tons of brochures, organized by the different regions within Arkansas, with lots of good information, most of which is free. We also got the bumper stickers and fridge magnets, which are perfect for keep sake. Clean restrooms and well maintained facility, highly recommend to stop by as you drive in on I-40 from Texarkana.

A really nice place to stop! It is well maintained inside and out. Super cute cabin style building. The bathrooms were clean, a great place for a stop. The covered picnic tables and play ground are great for families. I loved the fire place inside!!! It is beautiful and I love the table with checkers set out with rocking chairs. The attendant was pleasant and helpful. There was lots of informational material and some glass cases with artifacts as well.

When nature calls be sure to stop here after a few hours on the road.

For a Welcome Center, this place is pretty freaking awesome. Coming from Houston, I'd driven about five hours before I passed the state line and arriving here so I needed a little rest stop to stretch and stuff, you know. The Arkansas Welcome Center had everything you need for a rest stop: clean restrooms, friendly staff, lots of brochures plenty of parking, vending machines, free coffee and map, outside gazebos if you feel like picnicking for a little bit before hitting the road again. And most importantly, they had WiFi! For the love of everything that's good, they freaking had WiFi! I mean, after being on the road where my data connection was spotty at best, having WiFi was amaze-balls!! For real! If you're going on a road trip from Texas through Arkansas going anywhere, it's really not a bad idea to stop here. And FYI, if you keep on going East on I-30 and you're running low on gas, the closest exit for gas is going to be at mile 30. Just saying just in case you're freaking out because there's no exit sign in sight for miles after you leave this place.

I didn't realize how important Rest Areas, Rest Stops, and Welcoming Centers are to the community until I took this road trip to Texas. This Welcoming center was very clean and they had all types of pamphlets, maps and people willing to answer questions if you needed help. I don't know how it is after hours but while they were open I had a good experience with the center. As always folks... Enjoy!!!

Right after Texarkana, on I-30, en route Little Rock, it is a nice place to relax, especially if you are driving down from Dallas and haven't taken many breaks. This place has all the basic facilities - water, rest rooms (very clean) and even a coffee machine. They have a big collection of books and informative literature on Arkansas and its history. Also, there are a couple of old antiques for display. The staff is very welcoming, which I guess is a part of their training, and they'll ask where you're coming from, where you're going and whether you are going to stay in Arkansas or not. They provide some very useful information and literature that may help you to find out best places in Arkansas to travel. Overall, a very good place.

Top notch log cabin rest stop!! An area history spot, tons of literature where it looks like a library inside. Free coffee and the ladies behind the counter welcome you and can answer any question. Bathrooms are spotless!!!!! A must stop!!!!

I would suggest taking a potty break here, especially if you are on your way to Little Rock. There aren't many places to stop until you reach Little Rock. Bathrooms were clean. There is also a playground for the kids to run off some energy. Tons of parking for cars and trucks.

Just an amazing place. It was like walking back in time! This place out of all the places I…read morevisited made the trip worth it. The tour guides knew everything about the owners and history of the home. It gave a lot of insight on the time period when the home was build. The best part was five bucks gets you a very personal tour. This was one of the best tours I've been on. Worth a visit if our in the area and definitely worth a visit if your passing through.

I was in Texarkana in December for work at the same time that we had our short government shut down…read moreso I had a day we had to kill before the defense budget was passed and we got back to work the next day. I found this house on Yelp's things to do search...it was slim pickins for sure. I rounded up four other coworkers to go as well. We couldn't take pics inside so I just have the exterior. It's been a few months so I don't totally recall the history but I think that the original owner was the only lawyer in town. His wife would fly to Neiman Marcus in Dallas twice a year to shop. The photos of the shoes that are on yelp from the business owner are just a small snapshot of all the shoes. There were so many that were cute by today's standards. I loved looking at the shoes. The house was made so that all rooms were an octagon, I think I recall the reasoning was because you get the most light that way. But again...I could be butchering this story. The house had many rooms and a lot of detail. The family donated it to the city as a museum and left a lot of the decor and just took stuff that was sentimental. I think a nephew still lives in town. The house and the grounds definitely needed TLC and preservation. But that costs money and I don't think they're raking in the dough. When we got to work the next day I told one of the dudes that lives in Texarkana that we went there and he knew all about it and mentioned the wife flying to Dallas for shopping lol. So...long story short...if you're in the area and looking for something to do I think this is a great choice. It's cute and informational and supports the community.
