My child was left alone in a classroom. When I raised this serious safety concern, I was told that he had been alone for "less than a minute," as though that somehow made the situation acceptable. Regardless of how long it lasted, a young child should never be left without appropriate supervision. I have also witnessed teachers yelling at children and displaying very little patience with them. This raises serious concerns about staff training, professionalism, and whether children are receiving the care and attention they deserve. What makes this experience even more frustrating is that I repeatedly brought these concerns to the director, Tyff Davis. She stated that she would properly train her staff, yet I saw no meaningful improvement. Despite being made aware of these issues multiple times, she failed to demonstrate the accountability and leadership I expected from someone responsible for overseeing a childcare facility. One particular interaction perfectly illustrates my frustration: while I was trying to address concerns involving my child's safety, the director was ordering pizza on her computer. As a parent discussing the well-being of my child, I expected her full attention and a professional response. Instead, I was left feeling that my concerns were not important enough to deserve it. The issue is not simply that mistakes happen. The issue is the apparent lack of accountability, the failure to follow through on promises, and the lack of meaningful action despite repeated concerns. As a parent, my children are my greatest treasure. Entrusting them to a childcare facility requires a level of trust that, in my experience, Cadence has completely broken. No response or explanation can simply undo that damage. I genuinely feel for the parents who have to leave their children here and trust that they are being properly supervised and cared for. Instead of working with us when challenges arose, my son's mother was called twice in one week to pick him up early. The second time she arrived, she was told our son was being expelled because they "couldn't deal with him." She was never given anything in writing, offered a meeting, or given the opportunity to discuss a plan to help him succeed. She even offered to bring in an additional teacher to provide support for our son, but the daycare refused because they did not want an outside teacher in their facility. Rather than work together to find a solution, they chose to remove our son from their program. What is even more disturbing is how the owners treated my son's mother. They got in her face and spoke to her in an aggressive and confrontational manner in front of our son. No parent should be treated that way, especially in front of their child. The interaction was recorded. As parents, we expected compassion, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to the children they care for. Instead, we were left feeling blindsided, disrespected, and heartbroken. If your child has special needs, I strongly encourage you to ask detailed questions about what support they actually provide and how they handle behavioral challenges before trusting them with your child.

WORST DAYCARE IN FORNEY!!!…read more I am writing this review to share my deeply disappointing experience with Children's Lighthouse Day Care. My 21-month-old son was enrolled there, and the treatment we received was not only unprofessional but also indicative of a lack of genuine care for the children under their supervision. Lack of Understanding and Communication: Initially, we were contacted by the daycare requesting a parent-teacher conference because our son was climbing on tables and opening the classroom door. As parents, we understand that toddlers exhibit exploratory behaviors and grow at different paces, something that any qualified childcare provider should recognize. My husband responded immediately, expressing his availability for the conference. However, we were told that their director was unavailable that week. It is baffling to me that they could not proceed with the conference without the director or at least reschedule promptly. Abrupt and Unjustified Dismissal: On a Monday June 3 2024, we dropped off our son as usual. Within less than two hours, we received a call requesting to come and pick him up and informing us that our son was being dismissed because he continued to open the door and pull the blinds. This was the same behavior we had been willing to discuss and find solutions for, but instead, they chose to expel a 21-month-old without any prior warning or opportunity to work as parents and teachers involved in a child's development. The daycare is starting summer activities this same Monday ( June 3 2023) with many other kids attending the program. It appears that, overwhelmed by the influx of children for the summer program, they decided to dismiss our son immediately to prioritize the new arrivals. This clearly shows their priority: money over the well-being of the children they are supposed to care for. Questionable Priorities: It became evident that the daycare's primary concern is financial gain rather than the well-being of the children. Their focus on managing numbers rather than nurturing individual children, especially those who may require a bit more attention and understanding, is disappointing. Poor Teacher Conduct: The behavior of the staff is also a matter of concern. Amy, a staff member we spoke to on the phone, placed us on hold without any notice and transferred the call to the director without informing us. When we finally spoke to the director, she was very dismissive of anything we said, showing no empathy or willingness to address our concerns. The teachers exhibited a lack of kindness, care, and understanding. As parents, we expect educators to be patient, loving, and supportive, particularly in a daycare setting. Unfortunately, the teachers at Children's Lighthouse Day Care fell short of these basic expectations. Children's Lighthouse Day Care wasn't like this when it started four years ago. The then director was very nice and willing to sit and talk about your child's growth and progress with parents. You sit at home and know your child is feeling at home at the daycare. The class teachers were nice as well, showing genuine care and commitment. This has drastically changed, with the current staff and administration displaying a clear lack of the qualities that made the daycare a good place initially. I frequently noticed that my son's nose was always dirty when I picked him up. Additionally, when we dressed him in a sweater in the morning because it was cold, the staff didn't bother to take it off when it got hot outside. This lack of attention to such basic needs shows a complete lack of empathy and basic human care. I usually do not write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience to help other parents make informed decisions. A friend of mine who toured the daycare few weeks back had advised me to look for alternatives, noting the inadequacies she observed. I regret not heeding her warning as the daycare's convenience and proximity to our home blinded us to potential issues. I strongly advise parents to reconsider enrolling their children at Children's Lighthouse Day Care. Cooper's Cottage had me come in between 6:30 am - 7:00 am to visit for the first time so they could chat with me before all the children arrived. Meeting Miss Bre, I knew almost instantly this was the place for my daughter. My daughter is now 17 months and doing fantastic there. I work from home and have a busy job that would not allow me to give my daughter the attention and developmental milestones she needs. Cooper's Cottage does all of that for my child and she is meeting all of her milestones and doing great there! Miss Bre and Miss Amanda take really good care of her. Both are very nurturing, kind, and attentive. I am so glad I chose this daycare. I plan to have my daughter here until she is school age. The cost is also one of the best in Forney. Some daycares in Forney have very high costs. Cooper's Cottage is reasonable and affordable for my family.
