I have to say this first before I say another word. Roberto and the crew did an AMAZING job…read morepainting our entire home exterior!! My wife and I are extremely happy that we chose them. We took three bids and Roberto's numbers came WELL below the other offers. Well below. One was even double the cost. Roberto came out on a Friday to do a thorough walk around the house. He then explained everything they would do prior to painting. They pressure washed and scraped old paint everywhere and sanded all exposed wood surfaces. That was Monday Tuesday they came and repaired every single piece of missing stucco, patched every crack in the stucco, masked off all windows, doors, ground and wrapped all plants around the house. They also sanded every piece of rough wood there is in the exterior. Halfway through the day they were painting primer on the stucco. Wednesday: they came and got busy with painting the entire house, it was unbelievable! They literally had the entire spraying done by days end. Thursday came and so did a whole crew of 4 to finish anything and everything that needed to be hand painted and touched up. Including our front door that they painted Adriatic Sea Blue. I was walking my dog and stopped to watch them for a moment, since I was also in need of a full exterior paint job on my house. Unlike some paint crews, I noticed how clean and careful they were and the job looked great, and the crew was professional looking. I worry sometimes about crews with teenage looking kids with no experience, that's not the case here. That day I called them and the owner, Younis, came down to my house at the end of the day and gave me a quote. We have a stucco house, and Younis told me we would have to either prime before painting or use a higher quality paint that water proofs the stucco and seals it. I had already had 3 other notable painters in town come out and give me quotes and no one ever mentioned the challenge with stucco, sealing cracks, trenching below the dirt at the bottom, priming and painting any metal with oil based paint (we have a huge steel balcony). Younis, pointed out things that I wasn't even aware of. He looked at the job and emailed me a quote the next day after carefully evaluating the job. To my surprise, the quote was cheaper than the top dogs in town and he was using far superior paint products and doing way more than anyone else. We decided to go with AWA and told him we had to wait to get the paint approved by the HOA etc., he was extremely patient with us and once we confirmed, he started the job very quickly. I was surprised that, Younis, the owner, actually did the painting. He's not one of those spoiled contractors who leave a crew at your house who don't speak English. He was the main painter and checked with me every single day throughout the project. I am extremely picky and we made many small changes along the way. He never appeared bothered and just worked with me to make it happen the way I wanted. The price never changed. He even installed new lighting fixtures for us and really took pride in the project. We could not be happier with AWA Painting. I feel very lucky and don't think I would have had the same experience with any other painter. My husband and I just bought our first home which was built in the 60's and we needed someone to skim coat our ceiling (had popcorn ceiling removed by another company) and paint pretty much our whole interior before we moved in. We worked with quite a few contractors for new roof, plumbing, electrical, popcorn ceiling removal and kitchen remodel before I met with Marco and his professionalism and knowledge definitely stood out. Marco has 30 years of painting experience ( he was a painter apprentice becoming a foreman before starting his own company) and it showed - when I first walked through the house with him. He looked closely at all the walls and touched the textures of the walls and talked about what the issues were and how he was gonna fix it then he stopped at one of the bedroom walls and could tell there was wallpaper underneath the layers of paint that no one knew about! (Turned out there were 3 different patterns of 60's wallpaper in that room.) The other painting company had just looked at the walls and did not care to touch the walls. Because of what Marco discovered, my husband and I removed layers of old paint, 3 types of wallpaper and wallpaper glue ( Marco's company can also remove wallpaper but my husband wanted to tackle the task) and with Marco and Josh's paint job that bedroom is now glowing. Marco is like a Dad that looks out for you. He saw our ceiling after popcorn ceiling removal and told us the job was not finished (we had no clue) so we had the company return and fix it. Then he saw a closet that was just constructed that was done subpar so he said the builder needed to come back to fix it before Marco touched it. LOL. So we did and Im grateful to him for that. He is no nonsense and expects greatness from others because he aims to deliver great work himself. Marco and Josh worked tirelessly over 12 days including Saturdays to make the interior of our house look brand new literally from floor to ceiling.
