My child has come here since preschool. He is now going into eighth grade. If you are looking for a perfect school. Than homeschool is for you. People aren't perfect and neither is this school. But guess what? God didn't make anyone perfect but Jesus. The principal Mrs Barnel meets every single parent who requests an appointment. Her door is always open. When my child was getting bullied in 6th grade they intervened but also allowed my son to have a safe place in the office helping or having lunch with the VP or Principal to make him feel comfortable. My 13 year old son loves being here and looks forward to coming to school. Musical theatre is phenomenal at this school and I don't think it gets enough credit. We are a happy family and thank God for this place.

Whenever I've had a concern, I've been able to reach out to the administration or his teachers and have always received a response. I deeply appreciate that my child can receive a quality education in a Christ-centered environment. While it's unfortunate that some reviewers have not had positive experiences, I have full confidence knowing my child is genuinely cared for by the staff and teachers at Bethel. It's always a joy to see his teachers from his previous years greet him and show genuine interest in how he's currently doing. Bethel's commitment to his growth, both academically and personally, has made a tremendous difference in his life.

My son used to cry everyday before public school begging me not to go. Since coming here he has no issues and is excited about going everyday. Her presence does not reflect that of a caring educator or a capable leader. In contrast, the office manager and counselor have a far stronger and more positive presence on campus. I have yet to meet a parent who feels positively about the principal, which is concerning. The communication issues families experience stem directly from the culture she has created. She appears disengaged and uninformed, and her leadership style is more suited to an isolated administrative role than a school environment. While the teachers themselves appear decent, her leadership is steering the school in the wrong direction. Being a new school with newer teachers, the campus needs strong, stable guidance... not the disorganization and disconnect that currently exist. I genuinely believe a new principal would dramatically improve the school climate. Unfortunately, that change does not appear to be on the horizon. Given the circumstances, I would recommend families consider a more established school until stronger leadership is in place.

It's rich in culture and is one of the most diverse schools in the area. For the most part the kids that attend have decent attitudes and team spirit. Both my kids have received a strong education and the older is doing fine going into her 3rd year at a major university. Let's face it folks, if our children want to succeed they can by aligning themselves with good kids and putting forth effort in class. Poly certainly provides kids with the guidance and instruction they need to be successful if the kids and families do their part. Both our kids look at their time at Poly and smile believing high school was a great experience. Athletically Poly has some of the best teams in Southern California. Every year they have teams in CIF and beyond. Being the father of a Poly wrestler, I just wish they invested more in the program because it embodies character, strength and mental toughness. Poly wrestlers are some of the best athletes at the school but unfortunately it's not a huge money maker so they are frequently overlooked for funding, accolades or greater support. In the last couple years Poly wrestlers have become formidable competitors in league, CIF and this year State. This is why they should take a closer look at investing in the team and supporting it like the others. Lastly, since Poly has brought on Mr Roe the school has moved forward by leaps and bounds. Mr Roe has brought a new and much needed spirit and positive attitude to the school and faculty. All the kids love him and most parents find themselves immediately supporting him after a few minutes of getting to know him. I just hope Poly keeps him for a few more years before education promotes him to assistant superintendent or greater.
