The shop is of modest size, but the attention was very professional. I love the pieces I got and best of all, they are unique; no one in the US will have these earrings, bracelets and the necklace I purchased. read more

I brought a number of watches for repair since in general it costs less in Spain that it does in the US. The owner works on location just behind the wall, assisted by his wife. I brought him a 1928 Elgin manual wind, a Remington automatic from around 1960, and a 1960s era girard-perregaux solid gold automatic. Repairs on a sliding scale according to the quality of the watch. The GP cost 125 euros for a thorough cleaning including a high polish of the exterior and a new Crystal. The Remington and the Elgin cost $60 each for a routine service. He does clock repair too and you can see the results on shelves in the small waiting room.

Dealing with Corello was probably the worst customer service experience I have had in a long time:…read morethey are very unprofessional, unhelpful and unreliable. Stay away from this vendor. They are not trustworthy. Here is the full story: I ordered vintage watch online. After 18 days, I received the package via DHL. The envelope was padded, and the watch was placed in a box, but no further padding was put in the box, so it could move around. When I opened the box, I immediately noticed that the top right push button had come off. Also, the luminous on the minute hand had come off and the crown was wobbly. This despite the fact that the watch was advertised as "Condition: Very good (Worn with little to no signs of wear)". I immediately reported this to Corello and send them a photo. It may have been the result of poor packaging and must have happened during shipping. Their reply was that "It seems that you has forced the crown" and "The watch has been revised before send it and it was in perfect condition so this is not possible." Then they claimed that the defect push button and crown were the result of my mishandling and they started referring to their legal department. They certainly take their customers seriously. I filed a claim with DHL - as the shipment was insured - to get the repair costs covered. DHL informed me that the sender had to file the claim. When I asked Corrello to file the claim. Bizarrely, they refused and replied "We are honest people and we are not going to claim a DHL to pay a "set-up" of your watch". Great to learn that Correlo blames their customers, while they are "honest people". Then I took the watch to a vintage watch repair expert for an inspection and estimate of the repair cost. They informed me that the watch was dirty inside, the lubricant was dried out and the mechanism was completely out of sync. The confirmed that the watch was not serviced despite Corello's claim that "The watch has been revised before send it and it was in perfect condition". So much for "honesty" with the Correlo folks. The repair cost and revision by the watch expert came to a total of EUR 600. Corello was eventually only willing to pay EUR 200. When I confronted them about their horrible customer service, they did not respond anymore. Conclusion: don't buy watches from Corello. If things go wrong with shipping, you will not get any professional support. They will blame you for the defects and they lie about the maintenance they do on their watches. Stay away from these guys.

There is store after store selling beads, some specializing in certain types and others running the gamut. This particular store only carries items handcrafted or made in Spain-- you will not find cheap Asian goods here that break, lose gems, etc. They also carry a handful of pre-made items that they've constructed such as long necklaces out of leather ropes and beads, rings, hat pins, bracelets and more. The pre made items especially are a good value; you can get a 30" long necklace, very modern and cool with sterling silver beads and perhaps stone ones as well, about 19-30 euros and handcrafted by their staff. This was by far the busiest bead store on the street when i visited today; they have a number system, so be sure to grab one near the door when you come in if it is crowded. And, much like at meal time in Spain, take your time once you are being served and have all your questions and curiosities entertained. They carry beads, beading fastenings, bead closures, leather rope, leather ribbon, sterling silver beads, glass and stone beads, and finished goods among other detailed items. If you are looking for something unique or hard to find for beading, you should try here first.
