Now this might sound like hyperbole but as someone I see with great frequency it matters a lot to me. I found AMG on Yelp and based on reviews tried it. Well after my cut and experience it was well deserving of 5 stars. You book an appointment online and you are all set. You are sent multiple reminders which is helpful. There is a massive open public lot behind the stores so take advantage. Walking in this place has a beautiful aesthetic, it was classic barbershop meets the modern elegance. It is really an experience from the moment you walk in until you depart. I sat in a beautiful waiting area and soaked in the atmosphere. My barber Yosef greeted my and it was like meeting an old friend for the very first time. As I sat down in the chair, Yosef asked me what I wanted and consulting with me, we figured out a new look for my hair. He continually said "I want to do exactly what you want so you are happy" this attitude was amazing and it showed in the care he took to his craft. I have been to many barbershops/salon in 37 years but this was different. My barber had a vision and he truly put in the work to visualize it. My cut was a processes and honestly it felt like not one single hair that was supposed to be cut was left. He did not miss and his attention and care to detail showed. The entire experience with a hot towel shave (you have to try it) was worth it and more. It is not your typical barbershop prices but given it was more than "just a barbershop," wonderful friendly staff, knowledgeable barbers, and I walked out with a new look. I confidently feel I found my new barbershop. 5/5 stars!

As one other reviewer stated, he has a very heavy hand and made the haircut uncomfortable at times. Told him I wanted just a little off the top, not too short. He ended up cutting it super short to where I absolutely hate it. Also, in front of their business is a sign that says, " $15 haircuts, first time customers only". After the haircut was over, I went to pay and he said $25. I said I'm a first time customer. he then said that's only for the student barber. Then he pointed to a woman who wasn't there when I first came in and said you would have to get your haircut from her, I'm the owner. I assumed there was fine print saying that on the sign outside, but when I went and looked, it said nothing. Not sure why I tipped him at all as I was unhappy with the haircut and the misleading sign. Definitely would not return!
