The hearing test was very thorough and everything was discussed afterward. Starkey hearing aids have significantly improved my hearing. I am hearing sounds and clarity that I haven't had in a very long time. These are my first set of hearing aids and wish I would have bought them sooner. Granted, they are new to me... but that is one of the reasons I'm so pleased. The devices are so comfortable I hardly knew they were in my ears from the first moment. There is a "getting to know you" period when they're new, and that is what I'm doing now. You lose your hearing over a period of years specifically for me working in a production plant with noisy machinery, but when you get hearing aids, it's a sudden change and can be a little overwhelming. I was able to hear the crickets outside, I heard the rain hitting the windows, it's like a whole new world that I haven't been in for a very long time. I like the fact that the hearing aids are rechargeable and easy to use. They are also not visible behind the ear because they are so small. I can also connect my hearing aids to my Android to adjust volume and to use the hearing aids as wireless earphones. I highly recommend these hearing aids, as well as Vanier Hearing Center. I brought an elderly friend from Florida, staying with us for a week, to Dr. Robertson because it appeared to me that his hearing aids just weren't helping him much. Within ten minutes, she had assessed, using digital aids (yes, she has up to date equipment), that he was hearing only 50%-70% of what he should be hearing. By the time we left an hour later, he was so much more animated, having conversations with us that he couldn't have had before we saw her, that it was amazing. I am a health care professional; this visit reminded me that some health care professionals are better than others. Dr. Robertson is excellent.

She doesn't just check to see if you can or can't hear something she tests for how WELL you can hear something. It was truly an amazing experience. I can not wait for my new hearing aids to come in.
