I cannot say enough about this place and the care I received, from Lauren at the desk (top notch), to all the assistants, and of course the legendary Dr Hall (literally my neighbor and I confer on her brilliance as well as my dentist's finance who is a dental assistant/receptionist). I was walked through every step clearly and was checked on throughout the procedure and hardly felt any discomfort throughout. I was asked repeatedly if I had any questions at the end. And because my first root canal with her went so well, I was hardly anxious for today. I knew I was in the best of hands. It is rare these days to find such kind, thorough, personable and expert care (although my dentist is pretty darn amazing as well). I recommend this business whole heartedly and if I could give them 10 stars here on Yelp, I would.

I selected my Insurance "Metlife" for Retired Military, based on Circle Dental's availability…read morestatus as "Accepting New Patients- YES". I called Circle Dental to set up an appointment, and they told me that they weren't accepting Signa or Metlife because of a "Pay Discrepancy" and that "If I had Delta Dental, they would accept me". When I called my insurance back and reported this to them, they said Circle dental had not informed them of the "no new patients", I requested them to call and verify. Still, when MetLife called Circle Dental, Circle reported that it was due to overall "Patient Capacity" There is a significant discrepancy here between what they are telling patients and what they are telling insurance companies. These two calls happened today and within an hour of each other.

WOW! This place is seriously fantastic. Long-time dentist avoider here, and honestly? I'm floored…read morewith them. First, 3D Xray, so they get a really accurate look at what's happening. Comforting, as I had 5 roots in one tooth. This allowed them to know what they were dealing with in advance of my root canal (which is fairly important). Dr Lucier worked on my teeth and she has SUCH a gentle touch with her anesthesia needle. Every other needle I've ever had was WILDLY painful (and dreaded on my part), but she put in just a little bit, let it get numb, then put in more, (which I didn't feel as it was numb) and slowly, so it really didn't hurt (all my other dentists did it all at once and usually had my eyes tearing with pain). Seriously, SUCH a treat! I had two root canals and they were so mellow. I honestly fell asleep during them. It was that comfortable. And btw, they were ready for me on time, moved me along quickly, but without hurrying, AND had a really nice waiting room with legitimately good reading material. Gang, I can not recommend these women enough. They are fantastic on all fronts.

Now after following the treatment plan that they mandated I will not be able to get the most important element of my care completed. Instead I'm left without the thing I needed done the most because I followed their recommendations. Im disabled and can not afford the new copay standards they will be implementing. Had they just provided me with the requested service that I desperately need then them changing insurance networks would not have been an issue. Now I'm stuck without any ability to obtain sliding scale or nominal cost services and instead would be required to expend resources that I don't have just to finish this properly. I honestly wish I had gone somewhere that understood low income disabled people have limited finances. Perhaps I would have received the care I requested rather than be told no and left without options. I really thought this place was going to do right by me as a patient but I guess I'm stuck out in the cold. I just want others to be aware of this phenomenon.

When we came to Woodstock, we starting seeing Dr. Laughlin and received excellent care from him. And when he retired and Dr. Knott bought his practice, we stayed on because we'd already experienced his excellent care. Fast forward to 2016, when Dr. Knott's taken his practice to new heights. He's not only expanded into a new, purpose-outfitted, facility, but he's introduced some new technology and other innovations that make it scheduling and other patient services much easier. Now, for example, I get texts about upcoming appointments and add them to my calendar automatically. I'd expect those conveniences in 2016. But what's really important is that technology (in communications and patient care) never gets in the way of great dental care. Dr. Knott and his staff provide friendly, excellent, high-quality care at every level -- far and above what one might expect in small-town Vermont. Can't recommend them highly enough.

They called me by 8:30 Monday morning and they were able to fit me in for a 1:00 appointment. I was so happy they were able to see me so quickly as a new patient. Everyone in the office was so helpful and friendly and the office is very nice. All expected COVID precautions were taken and I felt like I was in a safe environment.
