I had in fact heard of them just because my husband is a massive music nerd and loves all the gear that comes along with guitars. Next to them is Saraswati Designs with a beautifully laid out space displaying so much jewellery! Such variety, I was in there for ages! And, they have a sale table with some great deals! The hall itself is found underneath the Mercer building. Enter the Rostizado entrance but head downstairs to a cool quirky communal studio space. They make a point of hosting upcoming designers and local entrepreneurs. I want to go back and enjoy all the stalls they have set up in there, especially the one who makes those 'Still In Edmonton'Shirts. This place is definitely worth checking out if you find yourself downtown, or looking for an unusual gift, or just wanna know about some cool happenings in our great city!

Once you go past these two businesses there is a small foyer where the bathrooms can be accessed then double doors going into Vacancy Hall. Within the Hall there are walls and garage door style doors for 6-7 separate businesses. They're all on the side which creates a central space for events. Since it's a basement the ceilings feel a little low but it's actually quite practical. Exposed tubes, pipes, and ducts give it some ambiance as does the painted mural on the far back wall. The communal event space can be used to throw parties, concerts, charity events, etc. Most of your equipment will need to be brought in though. They have a few tables, lighting, and garbage cans you can use which is thoughtful. Any audio equipment, seating, and decorations would need to be brought it. The legal capacity is 195 people but the 2 bathrooms available are single use locking doors which wouldn't work for a group that size. I don't know each of the stores that have rented spaces in the Hall but each location probably deserves it's own Yelp profile so I guess that's a job for another day!

It's nothing to write home about, but it's not too shabby. Ritchie Mill is unique so it's a cool place. If you're looking for a chilled out place to hang with friends - check it out. If you're looking for a nice dinner, I'd go elsewhere.

I was told on the phone they had the best drivers and new cars which is why they were more expensive and we talked about why I wanted the limo etc. Btw the car is a 2014. I didn't realize that was new. The driver came to the door while I was getting in my wedding dress and wouldn't let up or wait for 5 mins to get the remaining $100. He stood at the door and took off his glasses to look in after my mom told him the girls were getting my wedding dress on and asked again. He could have just waited until I walked out before he let us in. He was not quick to open the door, in fact most of time we did it ourselves. He kept the window down the entire time. I have never had a driver keep the window down to watch us in all my times in a limo. He asked throughout the trip for his tip before the trip was done. Last I checked a tip is based on service and a choice by the customer to determine the amount. It was not mentioned there was a MINIMUM 20% tip until after I booked. Very tacky. And they did not tell me ahead of time that we could not eat in the limo even when I specifically told them when I booked I wanted to be able to feed our bridal party in the limo. So instead we got to stand in a parking lot at a busy intersection in my wedding dress and waste 40 minutes of photography time instead of eating while we rode like we have for the other 16 bridal parties I've been in. Mind you non of them booked with Platinum. Smarter brides than I am I guess. He also made us wipe our shoes before getting in. I could see this if it rained and was muddy but it was dry and we went nowhere with mud. I'm sure it was just so he didn't have to clean anything for his next appointment which he consistently reminded us was right after our wedding reception drop off so could we hurry. And then the bull of him not coming back when I have the text from Rick explaining that was included in the wedding package. Stranding the bride and groom on the wedding night is a pretty surefire way to tick of clients and earn yourself a terrible reputation. Then the best part... when I talked to Rick the next day about the issue of pick up (I didn't even mention the others) he acknowledges that he knew I booked the package with late night pick up but he didn't put it in writing and I didn't catch it so saying there's nothing you can do because it's done and it's also my fault. Cherry on top. Basically, if you would like to pay more for lesser service than the competition you should book Platinum.

On Saturday, May 5, 2018, the German Canadian Cultural Association was the venue for a fundraiser…read morefor a little girl who suffered a traumatic brain injury on November 1, 2017. The fundraiser was meant to raise money so that this little girl can leave the hospital and live with her Mom in a wheelchair-accessible home. I was a guest at this event, and I was impressed with the quality and quantity of the food that was provided, the care and efficiency of the staff, and the generosity of the President and Board of the German Canadian Cultural Association for providing the venue and dinner for over two hundred guests,,, for FREE. It was the most generous gesture in a night full of generous gestures. This is despite the fact that the family in question has no German roots or any direct connection with the Association. I would recommend this venue for any kind of event. It's a pleasant place with a warm atmosphere and the meal was delicious. It was well-equipped for live entertainment and audio/video presentations. The staff did a fine job to accommodate a large group. It was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved

We met at to sample her foods and were welcomed and encourage to make ourselves comfortable. When sampling Aya detailed all the dishes and we could taste the passion in each bite. It was an incredible experience. Over the next week we secured our menu then met at the venue later in the week. She walked us through the array of dishes, all the while sampling as we went. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was incredible. We had several gluten free diets amongst our guests and Aya managed to provide a nice selection that could accommodate everyone. Her spring rolls disappeared within minutes, her falafel are the best I have ever had, her hummus is like a comfort food, beautiful flavours and textures to compliment the service
