A little electrical shop in the middle of the row of green shops on Drury Lane. The shop front…read moreproudly declares they have been in business since 1864 which is around the time of the very first commercial lightbulbs which only had a very short life due to the poor vacuum inside the bulb. They carry out electrical installations, electrical repairs and portable applicance (PAT) testing which is probably a requirement for all electrical equipment in offices and rented houses. Inside the shop they only sell the basics: extention leads, bulbs, plug fittings and telephone leads etc but there isn't much electrical work that the general public are allowed to touch themselves these days anyway.

This is one of the biggest local diy stores you will find. The store covers every room in the house…read morefrom a bit of DIY to a full blown make over. Here you can get all your tradesman tools at really low prices - so great for those things that need replacing regularly for the workman. Then there are also there kitchen and bathroom departments. Here you can get what you need to change something small - or you can have a full consultation and order a whole new room at a fraction of the price in comparision to anywhere else. They also have a wallpaper department and if you are doing the full makeover you can also order your new living room fire or central heating for the whole house. There really is nothing left out here that you might need. The staff are really friendly and are as helpful as you would want. Suppose giving 3 stars would be harsh, as the only negative about this store is the parking. Considering you would be purchasing DIY items there is virtually no parking as it situated on a very busy main road into Liverpool centre.

We have used Lee a few times for various plumbing jobs such as fitting a new shower, taps,…read moreradiators etc. He is honest, reliable and hard working. Lee doesn't rob you and always gives you a no nonsense approach. I had just moved into a new property and thought I needed a radiator replacing, after having Lee round it was quickly established that the radiator was working however I just had air in all of my systems. Lee was able to sort this out quickly and kept the price down - he could have easily have charged me to replace the radiator but he was honest about what the issue was. Highly recomend!!
