Very few outlets available, had to wait 10mins to find a seat outside, laptop died, paid $9 to park , wound up having to leave early and wasting some of my parking fees because I couldn't charge my laptop anywhere. Could be nice for meeting a friend but high traffic, high volume music even with noise canceling headphones, inadequate seating. Won't be back.

The coffee was okay, but honestly, it wasn't the best. I personally like strong coffee, and the iced Americano wasn't really for me. I also noticed that some of the pastries looked like they had been sitting there for a while, so I decided to just stick with the coffee. I might give it another chance at a different time, but based on my first impression, I'd probably pass for now. The service was definitely a positive, though!

The café itself has a cute, modern-boho vibe and the menu looks promising. Unfortunately, the drinks fell flat. One of my sisters ordered the iced 'hot' chocolate, which lacked true chocolate taste. My other sisters didn't mind their coffees and while my niece and I had matchas, we both felt they could've used a little more "pow." The highlight, without a doubt, was the super warm and friendly service from Steven and Gentry. They truly made the visit enjoyable. Maybe the pastries shine more than the beverages here?

An interesting two business collaboration between the Lovelee Bakeshop and the Gathering Grounds…read moreCoffee Co. Thirteenth Street is under extreme remodeling and the growth of small businesses are popping up between Andrews Ave and US1. Gathering Grounds recently found a new home within the Lovelee Bakeshop offering homemade cakes. Free parking next to the building. Met with the sole barista who explained the dual business concept. The menu for the cafe has staggering low prices for espresso and lattes. Every Saturday the Lovelee Bakeshop offers a cinnamon bun special to complement a Gathering Grounds coffee and is the hot item at $5.00 which sells out quickly. Ordered the single shot espresso of Common Grounds Day Break blend for only $2.00. A small couch and wicker chairs are available to sit and sip your coffee or two white metal tables with blue umbrella shade are on the outside sidewalk. The roasted almond scent was inspiring with a bold taste. They offer the same coffee grinds in bags to go including some logo caps. Funny framed sayings are posted on the wall to read and chuckle with examples as "Ready, Aim, Fire" or "Hello Sweet Cheeks".

It's located in a place that is easy to miss but there is parking. Service is very friendly. It's a small business not a chain and that makes it feel more genuine. Love a good cookie spot and it's a competitive space these days so I think I had high hopes. I was disappointed in the cookie display. Looked like a regular deli display. Cookies are too small for that price. I'm very sorry to say they looked underwhelming and liken to slice and bake. I didn't opt for coffee (so I understand that this review is somewhat skewed). However, we got a chocolate chip and pistachio. Got home and taste test commenced. The chocolate chip had excellent flavor. I love the large gooey chunks of chocolate and the salt amount was spot on. It was the better of the two. The pistachio was good flavor but a tad overcooked. I wanted chunky white chocolate chips (like the chocolate chip one) but it had regular bagged morsels of wcc. I tired to get them to melt slightly but two quick zaps in the microwave and nothing. I am fine with a thinner cookie but it has to be soft in the center for my full appreciation. Overall, for the price, the cookies need to be bigger and less overdone. Great recipes on hand need to meet a better execution. I will go back to try the coffee and amend my review if need be. I also agree with the other reviewer that the parking is not ideal. The staff was very kind and I hope they work out the kinks! I'm rooting for you, truly.
