The vet seemed a little scared of my dog. He's not very personable. Could be a little more hands on with the animals

DVM does adequate job caring for pets. Should note Dr. Alvi no longer owns the practice. He is retired and sold the practice to another DVM.

Refused emergency care because there was "no appointment". That is unacceptable. You can't plan an emergency or a tragedy.

. Alvi has held a lot of leadership positions in veterinary societies too, so his background is very impressive.

On May 30th I brought my three senior dogs in for grooming and a Bordetella vaccine. I arrived early but we were not even allowed inside. I had to wait outside limping back and forth between the front and side doors trying to get someone's attention. I have a back injury and a weak ankle so yes this experience was literally painful before my dogs were even touched. When we were finally acknowledged well after 8:20 AM a staff member yanked one of my senior dogs up by the leash and harness like luggage. For an older dog with joint or spine sensitivity this is not just rough it is dangerous. They accepted the dogs and confirmed services only to call my mother not me later and refuse care because I had the nerve to leave a voicemail expressing concern. Apparently advocating for your pet's well-being is grounds for punishment at Summit. Oh and the kicker The dog scheduled for the Bordetella vaccine was left unvaccinated while still exposed to other animals in a shared facility. That is a textbook case of negligence especially for a senior dog. Kennel cough is not a joke in geriatric pets. This was not our first issue. A previous visit resulted in the wrong liver panel being run. And during this visit a staff member privately confirmed that yes there are internal problems and I am far from the only person with complaints. To be fair the groomer is a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing establishment. But she is not running the place and even great grooming does not excuse poor safety professionalism or ethics. Bottom line If you value your pets' safety or your own physical well-being do not take them here. Your time your body and your animals deserve better.

It is a little cramped, dingy, but they make it possible to serve everybody. This could reduce chances of neglect, too. I have to admit though the guy with the mohawk wasn't too cool. I wanted a diagnosis for my sick cat and he didn't want to say. I would like to know if there is something I did wrong so I could change that. I have another cat who may have bitten my cat causing infection. If so if I knew I would bring in the other cat to make sure he is not a carrier of disease Communication really is vital in order for animals to get the best care
