This is a BUDGET hotel, so requires modifying expectations accordingly. Given the low price, I'd say this hotel deserves 4 stars for value.
If you are want an amazing location in the heart of Sultanahmet, and just need a hotel room to sleep in for a night or two at a low price with no frills, this is a good option.
We stayed here for 1 night in February - cost was just $60 Canadian Dollars.
LOCATION - From this hotel, we walked to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi, and even Grand Bazaar. The first two are visible within 30 seconds of leaving the hotel. Note however it is initially difficult to find location - I suggest emailing the hotel to ask for names of nearby restaurants and businesses. We were using Google Maps and asking shopkeepers but still had trouble.
TRANSIT: We took a taxi from Ataturk airport - a ripoff at 70 TL/35 Canadian Dollars. The tram station is a minute away and we took that/subway on the way back - just 16 TL/8 Canadian Dollars. Tram/subway to the airport on Friday 9pm took about an hour.
STAFF - Spoke to 2 different staff members, both were friendly and polite.
ROOM - Small, pretty tight with baggage. No issues with water pressure or hot water. Don't expect any amenities (shampoo, soap). Towels were not good quality though.
BREAKFAST - Was supposed to be ready by 7:30am but wasn't available until 8 or so. It was decent in taste - we were given a basket of bread along with an individual plate of salami, fruit, olives, etc.
OTHER - Wifi was strong. We had a late flight and were able to keep our luggage in their basement for the day. Came to their restaurant for apple tea and it was tasty albeit expensive for the quantity. read more
