Very disappointed. I came with a friend as I'm new to the area and was considering getting my wax appts here. However, front desk stated I was unable to sit and wait in the lobby while my friend got serviced because they don't allow "guests". No apologies for the inconvenience as we weren't aware of this. I would of at least appreciated a mention that this is policy due to "post Covid" etc. This was very unfortunate to experience as I was planning to be a customer here. Quality in customer experience is extremely important in a business like this. The quality of customer service needs improvement.

First, I have had facials in different parts of the country and overseas. I know what is a true and real facial feels like. This was not it. This is on me for not making time on carefully research this place. The DMK felt like the " esthetician" watched bunch of you tube videos and mimic the steps. There was no facial massage, it was more like throwing the products on your face which literally it happened that way. Lily was lovely and everything but one thing is the personality the other is the execution of work. The place: people go to have a facial or massage in a place that is zen and quiet. It's a space for healing and focus. There's no privacy. The working areas are separated by panels. There are no doors but curtains facing the checkout counter. I could hear the next door client chatting with her esthetician nonstop. For that you go to therapy or simply have that session at home. It was distracting and extremely annoying. The choice of music and volume not okay. It gave me the impression these people wants to make quick money without having proper practice and real experience. I'll keep looking and make the time to check on their certificates online. The ones on the wall look pretty fake. I know this is a brutal review but this impression was fully created by you-- the business. I support women owning businesses but please do it right!

Mery is my go to for my nails (not toes). She is excellent, talented, and she does a great job of listening, answering questions, and ensuring I get what I want. I'm pretty particular about my nails and she's always patient and friendly. If my review was based on just those things, it'd be a solid four stars. However, the owner, Ky... Incredibly rude and dismissive. Zero stars. I've experienced it before and witnessed it before, which is why I addressed it directly with him, when it happened again today. - He's done my nails before. It was my least favorite time I got my nails done at Encore. I asked him to fix a crooked nail. He responded that it wasn't crooked, seeming to be annoyed. I pointed it out, he disagreed again. I pointed out what I wanted fixed again, which he did, however, the vibe and energy was terrible. Especially when getting your nails done should be nothing but pamper and positivity. - I witnessed him being short and/or dismissive to other customers expressing their dislike for something or wanting something corrected. His tone of voice and body language consistently give the vibe that you're disrupting his life and you're an inconvenience. Even when just checking in at the front desk. - Note: Yesterday, had an appt at 3 (arrived on time), and he told me it'd be 10 min. (It would've been 25 had I not asked for someone else. ) -- Today, I came in to get another coat of polish on my toes as a walk-in and he told me it'd be 10 minutes. Based on yesterday, I inquired if there would be a better time to come back. Breathing heavy, he said no, I could just wait, that it'd be 10-15 minutes. Me: - Well can I just make an appointment to come back? Still huffing, he said we don't make appointments for that and kept telling me to just wait. (The wait isn't the problem, it's how he's talking to and engaging with me.) -- 8 minute wait, get my extra polish. Shoutout to Simon, he did a great job! - I stopped at the front desk before leaving asked if there was anything I needed to do, he said no. Then I shared, what was meant to be constructive feedback, that as a customer I'd hope he'd watch his tone of voice. Explained the wait from yesterday was the reason for my other questions today, and that I felt he was dismissive. To which he rolled his eyes and said "Mery told me it'd be ten minutes yesterday". No apology. No accountability. Instead, you throw your employee under the bus. I tried to continue to share my experience, even complimenting his staff. He's visibly annoyed and sighing, but the phone rang and he took it as his out to end the conversation. I exited, came right back in to get his name specifically for this review. Had this been the first time I'd witnessed/experienced this behavior from him, this review wouldn't even be here, because I would've assumed it was just a bad day. I've recommended a number of people to this salon who have become regulars. And I will no longer do that simply because the first person they see and have to interact with doesn't seem to truly value how he talks to or impacts his customers' experiences. And that's really disappointing.
