I came into Rude Boys last week to buy my first pair of snowboard boots and a pair of new…read moresnowboarding socks. When I first went into the shop I was greeted by some friendly sales people and told them what I was looking for and they pointed out the wall of socks and brought me over to the side of the store with the women's boots. I was a little disappointed with their smaller selection of socks, but I ended up with a pair of Stance Feel 360 So Fly Snow Women's socks and they were great on the mountain! They were also the only pair that I saw that were size small on the wall. I told them what kind of riding I did and that I wasn't really too sure what I was looking for since I've only ever rented snowboard boots before this. I knew I wanted to try all three of the different lacing systems and different brands as well. The man helping me was very nice and went downstairs a few different times to pull more shoes out for me. He was very patient as I tried on three different boots, and then asked for more, he brought a few more out and I went back and forth between the different pairs. I also asked questions about the fit and he was able to answer them. I ended up purchasing a pair of ThirtyTwo boots which were on sale. I used them during the week and they felt pretty good.

Canada Post Strike resulted in a $65 quote from UPS or Purolator to return a jacket. Contacted Rude…read moreBoys and asked if I could wait for Canada Post strike to be over. They said no. I went through everything I could to find a cheaper method, and applied for a UPS business account and got a more reasonable rate of $28. Contacted Rude Boys on day 15 of the 15 day return period, asking to return the item the next day (on the 16th day). They refuse! They wont even consider the Canada Post strike to return an item, even if I am shipping on the 16th day, and asked them on the 15th day of the return. Never shop with these guys online. There is a reason why they are still a small business, as they do not understand customer satisfaction even when it wont cost them a cent! AVOID !

I had to have them. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I've worked in retail for many years, so I also know you can ask for a discount at any time. You don't have to wait for a sale. There were many items on sale at the back. Everything is beautiful. It is true that some of the accessories are manufactured in China, but the fur coats are Canadian.

I would love to meet the mastermind behind it. There is a mix of vintage and newly purchased merchandise - a lot of wacky Halloween costumes that I'm sure will be tough to find elsewhere! Having worked at a thrift shop myself I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the prices are, you are getting a steal of a deal for such unique vintage finds. What I was most surprised by was the selection - the store is much larger than it appears on the outside and full to the brim with great pieces! Usually I have to go through racks and racks of duds to find a treasure, but Hello Vintage seems to have done the hard work for you to select only the best pieces to put out. Often with vintage clothing comes vintage sizing - AKA no options for anyone over size 12 or plus size, but there were even options for those sizes - inclusivity in sizing is so important and great to see!

On a previous visit there, we had spotted a handmade birdhouse that we planned to send as a gift for a family member's birthday. When I called and enquired about stock a few months later, that particular one wasn't available. They offered to get in contact with their supplier and try their best to track one down for me. They took my number to stay in touch and kept me updated every step of the way. We're so grateful for the effort they put in to helping us track down the perfect gift!
